I've been taking my 11-year-old Lab, Abby, to Raitto Kennels several times a year since she was a puppy. The kennels are clean and well taken care of, and I'm very particular about where I board my dog. Abby LOVES going there so she can play with other dogs and always comes home good and tired from having played so much while I was gone. In fact, she always runs out the back doggie door in her kennel to see who she can play with before I can hardly get her leash unhooked. Mari and the kennel helpers are always very pleasant to deal with, and I will continue to take Abby there because she likes it so much. I tried a couple of other kennels around the Fairbanks area when she was a puppy, but they didn't meet my expectations like Rattio Kennels has. As a long-time dog owner, I would recommend Raitto Kennels to anyone I know!!

Clean, nice kennels with doggie doors to outdoor runs. Contained in indoor kennels at night. Water. Outdoor play area with shade, houses and water. Owner has many years experience with animals.

My family went on vacation to Hawaii June 11th and left my parents' dog, a 2 year old Pomeranian, at this kennel. Two weeks later, my parents went to pick her up and were told she was dead. Mari is the owner and left the kennel in charge of a 16 year old neighbor without letting my parents, or the other dog owners, know that she would be gone at all. She does this EVERY YEAR unknown to all the owners who pay her. The vet necropsy showed that her heart and lungs were hemorrhaged, and bladder was hard to the touch; death by heat exhaustion, which according to the vet, usually takes close to 24 hours to happen. Our poor, sweet, loveable Bella was suffering, unattended, ignored, by someone we trusted, who left all those dogs in charge of a 16 year old girl. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE.
