Paul took care of all the plumbing upgrades and fixes for my whole house renovation. His work was careful and meticulous and his charges were reasonable and straightforward. He was flexible, even enthusiastic (a challenge!), about my changes to the original design. He communicated well, both with me and in coordinating with other contractors. He saved me a good bit of money and effort when compared to what his competitors suggested to me, and I expect his recommendations and advice to save me annoyance and money in the long term. He gave my project the time it needed, and to top it off, he's a really nice guy!
In response, Paul L is not telling the whole story. He called us out on a Saturday and he knew that we charged overtime rates and wanted a Pedestal lavatory installed where there was a regular lavatory. Our plumber put the trim on the sink and installed the Pedestal lavatory but there was a wiped lead joint in the wall that needed to be replaced. Mr. Paul L wanted our plumber to try to hook up to the lead that needed to be replaced, also there was copper stubbed out of the wall. We gave them an estimate that included the Saturday we were there at $867.09. The estimate was replacing the lead waste arm in the wall, so it wasn't a $1,000.00 dollar job. Mr. Paul L did not have us do the job.
A simple job (p trap and pop up) became a $1000 estimate including demolishing two walls. On overtime rates the tech sat on the floor staring off into space with the bowl of the sink in his lap. The drain pipe was exposed all along and lo and behold after two hours the genius determined it was too messed up for him to tie into. i tried too many times to speak with the owner and got a song and dance every time. i was forced to pay them for doing nothing because they placed a lien on my property. be very afraid of these ripoff artists.
Do not use this plumbling company. Their service call is $150.00 per hour. We were charged $150.00 in overtime since their overtime starts at 4:15 pm-so labor for this job was $300.00. $55.00 for the service call and only $10.00 in parts. Also, when I tried to call the office to speak to the manger-I was told "they are too busy" I called numerous times within a few days and was told they would call me back, never did. Just because a business has been open for many years, doesn't mean they are fair and honest to their customers. I will never recommend or refer this company to anyone.
Do not use this company. The technician that the company sent to my home was courteous and competent, but I believe that I was overcharged for service. I expected to pay $100 for a kitchen faucet to be changed out, but instead was charged $155 for labor. I did supply my own faucet as well, so that was not part of the charge. My advice is to shop around...I wish that I had.
