Jim Miles Garage

Miles Garage rips people off and takes advantage of them! I took 2 different vehicles to them bc they are close and my husbands family has taken their vehicles to them for years. They failed the first vehicle after I had just had my brother, whom is a mechanic and lives in Illinois, to fix everything wrong with it, for me. Miles garage failed it for inspection and then told me several things needed repaired or all new parts. Those several things they failed it for are the same things my brother, the mechanic, had just repaired. Trusting them, I asked them to fix it all and paid the $900 bill!! A year later, I just bought a new vehicle from my brother, the mechanic. He told me the break pads needed fixed but that's the only thing really wrong with it. So I took it to Miles garage again, and again, he failed this vehicle. They claimed it needed a new muffler, tail pipe, exhaust, break pads and the front right Axel needed to be replaced!! I told my brother and he was surprised.... So I picked it up and they said for almost $500 they could fix it all. Ironically enough, they failed it for the EXACT same things that they failed my previous car for! So I took it to a different shop, one whom my family has used for the past 20 years. The reason I didn't take it to this one first was because its 45 minutes away from us. Got the call today, they not only passed it, but said that the reasons that Miles garage failed it, were not true. The only things wrong with it were the break pads and the muffler needed a clip... Nothing at all was wrong with the other things that Miles garage had listed. Oh, and they fixed and repaired it for $100!! I will never use Miles garage again. I do not trust them. They either lied to make some money or their skills with mechanics need to be improved!! I hope who ever reads this goes else where before wasting your hard earned money!! I go to B & S Repair in Foristell!! All of the mechanics are trustworthy and do a great job!!! You can tell them that whatever needs to be fixed or repaired, you plan on doing yourself, and they will still do a great job and not lie to you or take advantage of you!!!! Bc it wont accept this unless i pick a star for the rating, i have to give it atleast one, but I would give miles garage no stars!!!!!!!

I have been a customer of Miles Garage for 20+ years. I think that says it all. If you feel like you are being taken advantage of, or cheated in any way you wouldn't go back. On multiple occasions I have mentioned that the "belts are due for a check" or something similar, and they have told me "they are fine". They could have replaced them and I probably wouldn't have asked questions.
