Of the six entrees we ordered at least two had hair in them and the replacement meals also had hair.
Ordered through grub hub and when delivered it was missing part of the order. Tried to call and every number I tried from Google and yellow pages would not go through.
Every time they screw up my order, every damn time! Asked for w tacos no lettuce and fries, should be under $3 instead it cost over $5 got 2 sloppy tacos both had lettuce, a tiny amount of fries thrown in the bag, and egg roles which I didn't order then I called to let them make it right and they didn't answer.
Because I didn't have a 618 or 314 phone number I was unable to place an order over the phone... "We have to be very careful." Stereotype much??? Apparently they're unaware Illinois is just on the other side of the river and people don't change cell phone numbers when they move. What a joke.
Good food, decent prices. We only have ordered take out. Sometimes the wait is long, I usually know to add 10 minutes on the time given, and because the place is small, there is a wait to get up to register to pay and then wait for them to get your bag of food. BUT because the food is good, it is worth the hassle. I am glad they put their menu online, finally I can review it all before making up my mind. What some call rudeness, I just chalk up to super busy place.
I will NEVER eat at Mandarin Garden again. We go there once a week and we never had an issue. Last night they forgot a crab Rangoon order. I called the next day and requested a credit to our future bill. The assistant manager basically called me a liar over a $5 order of crab Rangoon and said I could come pick it up today only. We don't want Chinese food two nights in a row so I declined. She had a HUGE attitude and could care less about customer service. UGH! They just lost a loyal customer.
I love this place!!! I love the food & I enjoy the staff this place is AWESOME!!!
Worst service. Good food but not worth the horrible service. With all the angry people I hear while waiting for my food I am amazed this place is still in business. It's too bad. Because the food is good. When I say service is bad, specifically the owner and carryout staff is actually verbally rude. Then you will wait over 60-90 minutes for your food. Eating in is not any better than carry out.
My husband and I ordered dinner as we usually would. And we found a hair in our chicken and our rice smelt and tasted like a cigarette. We called and they didn't care what so ever and they told us we just don't have to come back...
My husband and I love this restaurant! We're never dissapointed on the food! However, when we order to go it can be harsh, lol. We got take out last night and my huaband came home and said he feels beat up when he picks it up because the lady is so curt with him. He wanted the house mustard...which we always do and she told him he should say that on the phone, hellooooo....I have and I was told ask for it when u r there....lol...they're always good and busy. It's just funny, hubby said I've never been scared by a tiny lady for take out. But, she's always cranky! Now back to my awesome leftover sizzling rice soup
