        Welcome to St. Paul Automotive. My name is Scott McClure and we have been providing automotive repair service in the St. Paul, Minnesota area since 1982. Everything we do in our repair facility is aimed at establishing a trust-based relationship with our customers that will last a lifetime. Our staff consists of ASE certified technicians with a total of 90 years of experience and trained administrative personnel. All our staff is service focused and here to serve your automotive needs.Code of Ethics: We will always explain exactly what repairs are required, and why, before we proceed with the work. In addition, when the job is done we will explain all charges thoroughly. The service assistant and technician assigned to your vehicle will gladly answer any questions you may have. We can only save your problem if we know about it, so please tell us if we have failed to meet your expectations in any way. Our Service Commitment: We believe a well maintained vehicle will run better, last longer, have a higher resale value, and save money in the long run. We believe that only through clarifying and then living up to our customers' expectations, can we hope to earn their ongoing loyalty. Labor Charges: Our technicians' time is billed out at competitive rates. The total labor estimate is calculated by using either actual hours spent on the repair, referring to an industry approved labor time guide, or by a job package which includes parts and labor. Parts: We use only high quality parts backed by a national warranty. If requested, we will make available your replaced parts.

        Scott went far above and beyond what he needed to do to not only fix my car but also to sort out problems I was having with a different service shop / shady mechanic who was trying to rip me off. He dealt with them on my behalf so I no longer had to do it, taking a huge load of stress & frustration off my shoulders. St. Paul Automotive fixed a problem in 24 hours that the other shop hadn't been able to handle during multiple visits over ten days. Calm, professional, fast, and kind. Very highly recommended.

        I am a grad student who just moved to the Twin Cities. I don't know much about cars and grad school keeps me on a tight budget. Scott and the rest of the workers had my car for the day, drove it, and did the computer diagnostics to try to get to the bottom of a check engine light, which TURNED out to be a simple fix. They were honest, helpful, and I paid almost nothing for all of their help, which was an added bonus. Great business!

        I highly recommend St. Paul Automotive to anybody that needs help with repair or advise on their vehicle. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to your needs. They don't try to sell you something that's not needed. The mechanics are extremely knowledgeable from oil changes to high end electrical and mechanical work. I have a classic car and I appreciate their attention to detail!

        St. Paul Automotive is extreme...

        St. Paul Automotive is extremely honest, friendly and accomodating. They were willing to work with me through my repairs and did not try to sell me something that I did not need. I had some recommended services for mileage that I would have easily agreed too, and was told they were not needed at this time. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!
