Wonderful Chinese Restaurant for our weekly family party

If this is not the best restaurant in the area, I and my family won't go there almost every week. The food is really delicious and fresh. I heard from the chef that they always choose the raw food carefully and double check if it is good before it is cooked. Also, the waitress is very organized and patient. Even when there are lots of customers, she manages to serve every table so well. As far as I know, lots of customers become her friends later on. So there is no doubt that she is popular and nice. Anyway, it is a wonderful Chinese and highly recommend it!!

Best in town

So I found this place while I was attending century college in 2004 and my friends and I can't get enough of pagoda. The food is always amazing and so fast and to top it off the service is always friendly and prompt. The real star of the show is the chef and owner. His willingness to cook outside the box and make you something thats not on the menu there is one dish that is out of site and what I tend to order it's called SIZZLING RICE whats in it is shrimp, beef, and chicken

My family and I love this resturant! They have the most amazing food, we have never been dissapointed. The owners are so nice and welcoming. They have come to know our family now from repeat service and are always so wonderful. Everytime we are in, the owner/chef always comes out to say hello and ask how the food is. His wife is in charge of the front of the restaurant. They are just such a great family and work hard to run their family business. The waiters and waitresses are people from the local area and are all very warm and nice as well. It is a big restuarant with great booths, nice lighting, and the food can't be beat. They are always our only choice for chinese. Thier takeout is amazing too! Always ready in about 20 minutes. I take all my friends here and would reccomend it to everyone who values good food and great people. I simply can not say enough good things about Pagoda! :)

asked waitress, a lovely woman, to ""have chef create something he'd make at home...."" he generously complied, making 3 dishes (garlic spinach, which he said was ""good for health,"" some rice cake things w/ shrimp, chicken, in sauce- best thing we had, & a tofu & scallion dish). the waitress & chef himself brought it to the table. probably the best chinese i've ever had. i resisted going there in the first place because i always want authentic. the roads were icy & didnt want to drive far from home. i figured i'd order like anthony bourdain & was not dissappointed. will definately come again. A+. & loved our waitress.......

It may have been a bad night, but this night will never happen again as for we will not be eating at the Pagoda Restaurant in White Bear Lake again. Un-welcoming, un-professional, discriminating service of the waiter, which we found was the manager. As he said after I asked him for his Managers name.
Around 5:40 p.m. Sunday Nov16th, we arrived at the Pagoda on County road E in White Bear Lake, and were taken to a table. We asked for a drink order but were told we had to wait for our waiter. 10 minutes our waiter arrived with our water and 4 for other people. Before we placed our beverage order I inquired about the type of noodle they used in there lomein, wondering if they were the smaller noodles or the bigger noodles. A simple question for most servers but with this one it was responded with a condescending ?It?s just like regular noodles.? He left our waters and said he would be right back after he gave the 4 waters to the other customers. As we waited we noticed two other tables get their food that had ordered before we got there. After a half hour later at 6:10, yes we knew the exact time due to the lack of responsiveness of our server, I stood up and motioned him to get his attention. It worked, but we were left with a, ?I am really busy.? He headed back to the kitchen. After he came back from the kitchen he waited on the table that was seated after us that he took the 4 waters to. We gave it another 5 minutes but decided to leave after no response from our waiter. As we were leaving we actually got some service. Lip service. Our gracious waiter said, ?Come again.? I gave him a dumfounded look and asked him the name of his manager he responded with ?I am?. My dumfounded look turned to shock as I began to remind him of what occurred. My look of disgust turned into dismay from what he said next. ?I didn?t like your looks.? I guess we did not look rich enough but could have bought his place. He and we are Caucasian and highly repected people.

Best Chinese in the area

Love it! No MSG, Buffet is not overwhelmingly large, but all the food is always fresh. Staff is always highly professional and curteous. Best Chinese in the area. Highly recommend.
