Meineke Car Care Center

Last year while I was deployed, my wife was told she needed new brake pads to pass a ME inspection. Being new to the area, I told her to go to a chain that has standards and would be less inclined to rip her off. $846.17 later the workers at Meineke had replaced the calipers pads and rotors on just the passenger side. My wife in tears called to tell me she didn't have the money to do the other side.( Again I was in the Middle East, not an easy call). I flipped out told her to go back and get her money back and have them fix the pads, they made her make an appointment. Two days later while driving a car full of girls to a softball game my wife lost the brakes, completely lost them and had to down shift and use the e-brake to stop. When she took the car to the shop she was told "oops! I know what I did, I'll fix it". Meineke never refunded her the money they charged her for all the garbage on the passenger side. When I got home three months later the breaks were squeeking and the car was pulling. I had to change the pads and get a new rotor, they never turned the one they put in. I do most of the car fixes myself and I know my wife was taken, I will never visit a Meineke again and I encourage anyone to deeply consider all options for repair before spending at this chain.
