Was at the Woodbury/Oakdale, MN. today, hard to understand which city it is located in. Had a bad and extremely disappointing experience. I finally found a painting for my bedroom that I loved the minute that I came in the front door, put it in my cart, then picked out some other things to go with it. When I got to the register, they told me that I could not purchase it because it was not for sale, even though it had a price and a bar code on the back! After months of searching for just the right painting and then I can't buy it, what? Supposedly it is like a display, but there was no "display only" sign, or "not for retail sale" on it, nothing of that sort. If that was the case, it needed to specifically state that and it did not! A "manager" said that she would put it back for me and take care of that signing issue. As I left the store, it was right back where it was when I came in the door, exactly as I found it. Still no sign or statement that it was not for sale! Shame, shame on you Hobby Lobby, you have just given yourself and your "manager" a huge black eye in my book and I am definitely mentioning this incident to all of my friends and family.

I love Hobby Lobby! It is definitely more of a warehouse kind of place compared to a more independent store but if you want basic crafting and decorating items this is definitely the place to go! I personally have had only positive experiences.

I walked in here the other day to try to find some stuff that I need. This is a visit that I wish I never made. The atmosphere was not very welcoming, the people I asked to assist me were rude and judgmental (four of them), and I didn't feel the place appealed to the masses like it should. The rude employees gave me a snotty attitude. When I asked for the manager, no one helped me out. The experience was so bad that I walked out of there without buying anything. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.
