I love this coffee shops! From its delicious food and amazing coffee concoctions to its diverse patrons and relaxed atmosphere, it’s my favorite coffeehouse in the Twin Cities.
They have good brewed fresh coffee AND all of the blends (ie, med & dark roast), something that is hard too find in any coffee shop today (even "Starbucks") with the excuse of "we're conserving waste"---bs, they're lazy. The atmosphere is 'quaint' (antique like) and large enough too be off by yourself with a good book. "Rude staff"? (MaggieShriver): are you a transplant and not used to "Minnesota Nice?" People in St Paul are NOT interactive or "in your face." If that's what you want go to Minneapolis for a 'bit' more flair and progressiveness. The 2 cities are VERY different: coming from a native born.
Yeah thanks Lizzy20 for that. What's with these coffee people bring their pets (eg. big dogs) to the shops? I can take children but dogs? There is a bum who brings his "sheep dog" to Coffee Ginko's on Snelling/Minnehaha. St Paul is reminding me of Denver. No kids but everyone has a dog/pet. Narcissists amuck!
Non-Troop Supporting Establishments? I am a very heavy coffee drinker and love this location and its employees as they are all very respectful. I however do have a problem with Starbucks response to the U.S Marines that sent a letter asking for coffee. The excuses flew and flew and in many terms offended our brothers in arms. I cannot verify truth or fiction, however if its even brought up of non support establishments my belief it has merit. I have since switched to other coffee establishments along with family until more demonstrated troop support is public. I have lost a brother and two friends overseas and will not tolerate the non supporting citizen sheep and businesses that offend our brothers and friends. Just ask , when you go in for coffee if they support troops and the last time they sent coffee to our soldiers. Thanks, that's all im asking..ask every time... ask them.
The best bagel sandwich place. Its a small, independent business that puts out a quality product. Bruegger's can't beat this place. If you love breakfast sandwiches, try the Luther Vandross. If you're a vegetarian, try the Joannie Mitchell. Try the Joannie Mitchell even if your'e not.
