Sandwich shops are a dime a dozen, but Snarf's is worth at least a quarter. Cheesy? Sure, but it's true!We ducked in on a cold January day to warm up and try out the food. We shared their broccoli cheese soup and an Italian sandwich to delightful effect. The soup was creamy and filled with little cubed potatoes that warmed us up nicely. It came with toasted, seasoned bread that was far better than what I was expecting from a small sandwich shop. I appreciate that the Snarf's folks know the first rule of soup: hot, crusty bread is better than old crackers. The Italian sandwich was my husband's choice. I generally don't go for sandwiches with more than one type of meat on them, and this one has four: Salami, Pepperoni, Capicola and Mortadella. But, with the toasty bread, provolone, onion, seasoning, tomato, hot peppers, pickles and crunchy lettuce it was just right. Given that they also add mayo, mustard and oil to all their sandwiches you'd think that the insides would get gooey. But, the sandwich arts are not lost on Snarf's employees. They make sure the inside is soft but not sloppy. If you're tired of Subway and Penn Station you should give Snarf's a shot. Not only will you not be disappointed, you'll see Snarf's in your sweet, sweet dreams.
Adjacent to St. Louis university campus, I found Cafe Ventana. Being a student and centrally located to my housing, I gave it a try. A great combo coffee house and DELICIOUS SOFT MEALS.FRIEND, do you need an excellent place? Then Cafe Ventana is the answer. They have a nice patio if you have a larger group.I have been there with my fellow students for study sessions and the think tank is a perfect accommodation. Great prices and the best beignets outside of New Orleans.
Closest coffee shop to SLU - the Cafe has a variety of seating options including cozy, comfortable seating around the fireplace on a chilly day, outside patio seating for warm sunny days and the Think Tank for study days when you need a place to study with a group. My fave is their coffee and beignets - they were excellent and reasonably priced. The black bean breakfast burrito is an excellent choice for breakfast!
If the smell of fresh brewed coffee isn't enough, the aroma of breakfast wraps and other delicacies will make you light headed. One taste of the food and experience of the atmosphere will keep you coming back to this quaint coffee bar and cafe again and again. Like coming to a good friends house with great food and no dishes to wash.
This Jimmy John's is fantastic in all my experiences. I just ordered delivery for the first time, a sandwich had +bacon and -tomatoe/lettuce, with light mayo. I also are red drink and cookie, everything perfect, DELIVERED IN JUST OVER 10 MINUTES and I live 2.2 miles away. Always courteous and friendly staff as well in restaurant.
This is a great little Starbucks. The drinks are well prepared & the pastries are fresh. The staff is friendly & gracious. They have whole coffee beans & the barista is knowledgeable about them. It's a nice place to enjoy a cappuccino & pastry. Take home some whole coffee beans to make your visit complete.
I love going to this place and just hanging out. The coffee is great and not overpriced. It's comfortable. The food is okay. There are a couple of terminals available. It's just so far away.
BEIGNETS: This needs its own section, because they are that good!Neat little coffee house and a bonus is their free wifi service that comes in handy when studying. Lots of great menu selections.
What a great spot. Excellent food, ambiance, and very friendly staff. A great addition to Cherokee.. I had the Roasted Potatoes and Pork Shoulder Sandwich and would definitely recommend..
Pita Pit is great for a quick & healthy lunch! At least once a week we would stop by for a quick bite. Now that we have moved offices, my only complaint is that there isn't one closer!
