LOVE IT! I am very comfortable in this new place. The decor is cute and the massage chairs as well as the regular chairs are comfy. In addition, the shop is very clean, friendly, and they always get me in quickly even as a walk-in- great price and quality work! Some of the girls even remember my name. Kayla is great and she pays attention to detail when I get shellac, like making sure none of the shellac gets on my skin so it doesn't peel and it lasts longer. My nails are brittle, so when I don't get shellac they always use a nail strengthening base coat and it definitely makes a difference. I've never had an issue with anyone nicking my cuticles and making me bleed or anything. I also got my eye lashes and eye brown done. They did it perfect. I gave these technicians the reviews because I just really think these girls deserve a shout out for being consistently pleasant and skilled. If you a big fan of gel nails, this is the best place in University City. I am so glad I finally find a place where I can go and feel like home.
WOW!! Super impressed. After moving to the area and visiting several salons, I finally stumbled into this one. What a breathe of fresh air! The salon was very clean with a relaxing atmosphere and top-notch service. They use sanitized/new tools, they take their time and are not rushed even if customers are waiting. I also witnessed them telling customers it might be better to come back since the wait would be a little longer (my experience has been they will lie about your wait just to get your business... seems this salon cares more about keeping your business.) Oh and best massage ever, my pedicure was perfect and everyone is very nice with minimal interruptions or distractions from them talking on the phone or to each other, etc. Best experience I have ever had getting a pedicure and I have been getting them for years! This will be the only place I go to from now on even though it is 20 miles from home... totally worth the drive!
This is St. Louis' finest barber shop. This is no strip mall, quicky hair cut joint. These are real barbers who learned their craft the old school way -- and it shows. Every hair cut is perfect. And if you're after the classic flat top, no one in St. Louis does a better job. Nicoletti's is a St. Louis institution. Jack Buck was a regular at Nicoletti's. So was Stan Musial. Whitey Herzog had a few flat tops trimmed at Nicoletti's. And even Lance Berkman could be found hanging out at Nicoletti's during his time here in St. Louis. True Executive Barber Shops are disappearing faster than honest politicians. So I encourage everyone to support Nicoletti's. You won't get a better haircut anywhere in the St. Louis region. Plus, there's great conversation, sports on the big screen (or John Wayne movies if the game's not on), killer shoe shines, male manicures and more. Barber Shops get no better than Nicoletti's!
I visited this place for the first time today. I've heard about it from several people, all saying how great it is. I stopped in without an appointment. The place was PACKED and I'm thinking okay well I'm going to end up leaving. They got me in pretty quick. They soaked off my old gel polish and I got a mani with gel polish. Emily did my nails and they turned out awesome!! She did a good job painting the nails and even did an accent nail with a design for me. Everyone seemed very laid back and nice despite how busy it was. You can also understand everyone very well, which has been an issue for me in the past. The price was better than at other salons. I'm giving 4 stars now because I just got the mani and haven't seen how long it will last. If it holds for the full 2 weeks, I will come back and give 5 stars!!!
I have been going to TJ's Nails for several years. In recent months, I've been purchasing Groupon certificates for other various nail salons to save some money. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." I finally decided last week that it was not worth saving a few dollars to get a poor manicure or pedicure, especially in not-so-clean salons. TJ's is very clean. The staff there is friendly and efficient. And the services are top notch. It is very professionally run and the prices are comparable to most other salons. Personally, I recommend Nini, but I know all the manicurists are great. My only criticism is that they could use more selection of polish colors.
I have been coming to Amor Nails for 2.5 years. From the first Mani/Pedi at Amor, I was sold on their excellent customer service and outstanding products. Amy, Lucy, and Tony offer their customers healthy nail care. I completely trust the products and tools they use. All their nail equipment is sanitized, never reusing the same nail tool on two customers. Additionally, they have a large variety of organic products to offer. They offer a large selection of nail care services in all price ranges. All very reasonably priced and worth every penny. My favorite pedicure is the 'Nu Pedicure' which is composed of organic lotions and masks.
Amore is by the best place I've been to. I've tried many places all around St. Louis (including some well known, more pricey establishments) and Amore is the BEST. Very calming and relaxing atmosphere. The way the have the stations set up sets a more private tone too... no awkward face-to-face with a stranger across the room... TV is on mute so you don't have to listen to something you don't want to watch... and the background music is spa-like, dim lights, very pretty/modern decor. They also TAKE THEIR TIME with you. No rushing, no "slapping" massages. I will recommend this place to everyone!
I came to this nail shop before labor day weekend. Kathy was working on my mani/pedi and she did an excellent job. Kathy was a very sweet and friendly girl; she did not rush, took time with me and did exactly what I need. Her nail art designs were very nice and outstanding, I love it and love it. I used to go to the nail shop at the corner of brentwood and manchester rd, but they were rush and rush me, get me in and get me out so quickly with a very bad job on my nails and not friendly at all. I am so happy with Wild Nails and I will not go anywhere else. Thanks so much Kathy.
I took my wife here for a pedicure Sunday. I was talked into getting one too. The website says the deluxe is $28. We were charged $100, and when I asked why, was told we bought extras. We didn't get anything other than what is listed in the description on the website. If there were going to be extra charges, who doesn't inform the customer first? We were both happy with the pedicure, but won't be back due the overcharging and lack of informing us of any additional charges first.
Go here you won't be disappointed. They are amazing…. I had wanted fake nails but I did not want to use the drill so they recommended that I get the gel nails instead. They turned out amazing! I will be going back again! I also had them do a pedicure and that was amazing as well! They are all so nice! They offered complimentary water or wine! Check out there website too, because they have coupons…. Good Luck to Amor Nail and Spa wish you many years of business!
