I think this restaurant is awesome and plenty of food! I read previous reviews and the bad ones were dead wrong! There is plenty of food, so much that I had to take some home! The service is great, the hostess and bartender are very energetic and funny. My server was very helpful and checked on us every few minutes, very unusual in most restaurants now days! The bday celebration was fun and hilarious :) Our chef was very entertaining, and very outgoing....he talked the entire time and made us laugh the entire time! Would reccommend this to everyone for evry bday celebration too! oh yeah....sushi! We had the special volcano roll while waiting for our party to get there, very very delicious! My husband and I have gone there for sushi on a number of occassions and it is always superb, the sushi chef is also very friendly.

The service and the food were terrible and the management could care less. We were rushed through our meal. The waiter came around only once. We sat with dirty dishes the entire meal. The ""chef"" literally through our food on our plates and about one-third landed on the table. I called to complain about our horrible experience. The manager apologized and stated the reason the food and service were so bad was due to a staff shortage! GO TO KOBE'S!

Tried this restaurant for the first time today, with a large (20+) group from work. Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered from the lunch menu - $12 for steak & shrimp, plus a house salad, rice, and veggies. The salad dressing was soooo good - wish I would have looked what it was called. They cook the rice, veggies, and meat right in front of you - quite a show. The chef we had was great - very entertaining. The food was fabulous - cooked to perfection! Dinner was considerably more expensive (around $20 a plate), the lunch menu wasn't bad for price. Will definitely go again, and highly recommend!

I have eaten Kobe for years & was happy with other shogun locations, not this one.
I was excited when I heard shogun was opening so close to my house, it's a bit of a drive to Kobe's.
I have eaten there 4 or 5 times now out of sheer convenience, I just kept giving them another chance thinking it's got to get better. The portions are much smaller than Kobe's, about 1/3 less. Every time I have gone to shogun I left hungry, when you go to Kobe?s you leave stuffed.
We took my brother's kids who are 6 & 8 there for the show, the chef added tons of hot mustard to the fried rice, which gave it a funky twang. I love real hot mustard, but this was unusual & did not taste good at all, the kids wouldn't touch it either.
.Another time I ordered calamari as an appetizer, I got it after my meal. I had to argue with the waiter & the manager who both wanted to charge me for it.
Another time I ordered scallops which I love, the cooked them dry on the grill. No oil, no butter, nothing.. dried out burnt scallops are not good.
Every time I have been there the show is fair to poor. Most of the time they don't even flip people food.
I don't understand why their parking lot usually is packed when I pass by, I guess alot of people like me hoping it will be better this time.
I'm done, Kobe's has better service, better food, more food & a better show.... it's worth the drive for me.
I just feel dumb for going back so many times.
I am not one to whine like many people, I just thought many people could learn from my mistakes.
