Great addition to St.Louis scene

Simple but nice/clean decor. I've been twice in 6 weeks for lunch. Service was very good as was food. The food is not as spicy hot as I'm used to in Ethiopian but very good none the less. While it is unique in it's very own right , espcially eating with your hands using injera ( unleavened bread), if you like the spices used in Indian food you'll enjoy Ethiopian cuisine. Same basic spices groups in different quantities.
I had the vegetarian combo - greenbeans w/carrots, lentils, split peas and cabbage. QUITE GOOD! I've also tried the Doro Wat ( stewed chicken) it may have been made a day or so before making it average.
The Fitfit salad was VERY good. looks like pico de gallo with a simple vinagerette.
CHECK IT OUT!

Great experience

I went here with several friends one Saturday evening. While it was a little slow, the food was outstanding and well worth the wait. Others should remember that their traditional food isn't like the stuff we are used to here in the States. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Another fun South Grand Restaurant

This is a great place to take friends and try out some new foods. I particularly like lamb so this is a great place for it. The spongey bread has its own unique taste and texture as you use it to eat your food. I am sure kids would love eating here. My wife and I often order one of the sample platters so that we get a wide variety of options. Enjoy!

What? No Utensils?

Don't need em! The food is excellent! You use the bread to kind of scoop up the food and shovel it in your mouth. The texture and the smell are wonderfull. Bring a date... finger foods are definitely romantic!
