Prices were way to high and food was mediocre. Service was just ok. It was $80 for 3 rolls and 2 drinks and an appetizer

My server Carlton was awesome very sweet yet extremely knowledgeable and professional.
The manager Sean also welcomed the same experience. I guess it's true what they say it starts from the top!

I like the Tiger Roll the best, and wings. Can be a bit expensive but worth the sushi, they make it fresh after you order, cool trendy spot but small , bigger one is in the central west end.

I was staying at the Sheraton in Westport Plaza and stopped in this place Sunday night for a few rolls. I'm a bit leary of what I call ""Club Sushi"" style places..but I had no car to leave the plaza so if I wanted sushi, this was my option. I ordered the Fried Philly and Eskimo Roll (which had jalapenos on it, not really seeing the connection to an eskimo) and a California roll which seasoned sushi eaters as myself would scoff at but sometimes I order it to sort of judge them on how well they make the signature sushi 101 roll. HOLY YUM..all three were amazing. Being that I was a bit buzzed up from the night I went back the next day (reminder no car, limited options at Westport) and wasn't sure if my rejoicing pallet was simply due to my beer and sake I went in around 6pm Monday night and surprise it was HAPPY HOUR so 1/2 off a few items. I ordered a couple from the HH Menu. Spicy salmon and I think a Caterpillar roll. Again...WONDERFUL. This definately isn't authentic Japanese and probably no Japanese people even work there but they really know how to work with the flavors and everything seemed really fresh. I didn't experience any ""loud"" music but maybe thats Friday and Saturday night. Would definately recommend...great clean place and good atmosphere. I sat at the bar and both bartenders were great. Will miss this place from my little visit to St Louis..Five stars.

NOT sensitive to those with physical disabilities

Long story short, I will not eat here. I called ahead and made a reservation one evening requesting a table that was handicap accessible. I explained to the hostess that I had a physical disability. I get there on time for my reservation and the hostess takes me to a table that was not accessible at all. I explained to her again that I needed an accessible seat. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "well this is all we have or you can wait." I felt she and the other staff I spoke to about my special physical needs (i.e., having a leg amputation), were apathetic, rude, and ignorant. They treated me as though they did not want my service ( the eye rolling, speaking to me in a sharp, quick tone, and not making eye contact, or being cordial) and so I will never return back to this place again. Just shocking.

A love the variety!

They have a great selection of sushi. I've never been disappointed. The rolls are full of flavor and reasonably priced! Good happy hour too.

Great Service

Best sushi I have ever had. Service was amazing. The ambience was great too. Told everyone I know that it was wonderful

Uh, definitely not my favorite in St. Louis!

I thought the food was very good, but it was on the expensive side. The service was okay. What I really didn't like was the ambiance. We were first seated at a table that was dirty. We were then moved to a better table, but as we were waiting we couldn't help but notice the music was soo loud that we literally were shouting at eachother from across the table (and I love my music very loud, but this was obnoxious). We didn't complain because we thought that it was supposed to be that way since the restaurant is was sooo trendy and contemporary. My boyfriend and I couldn't wait to get out of there. I prefer more quiet, hole in the wall restaurants, for better food and ambiance.

Good food, overpriced, bad service

I've been to Drunken Fish a few times in Westport. The sushi has always been pretty good, but expensive. The service is what I find frustrating. They hurry you through the meal - there is no sitting there to relax and chat without the servers pushing you along.

Also, their hot tea is $3.00. They bring you a TINY tea pot, and you practically have to beg to get more. I finally gave up and drank water after asking 2-3 times for more tea.

I doubt that I will go back.

Great Place

This is the best sushi place that I have found in St. Louis. I love the atmosphere, food and staff. You can have a good time at dinner or come for a fun happy hour.

Love that Sushi!

My girlfriend and i love the ambiance, the great service and the best for last the fresh sushi. It's only second time being due to just moving here. When we got here from NY and asked around about sushi, the Drunken Fish came up and the rest is history! This is our favorite place for sushi and sake.

Another great experience!

Awesome service and the sushi rivals that of what I have had in LA. You must try their special rolls!

A group of us was at the Central West End location. The sushi there is the best i've ever had and the service was awesome, the waitress took care of our large group with no problem! Everything was Awesome!

Great for group get togethers

My friends and I had dinner at Westport this weekend. There was a large group of us, but they were able to get us a table. The food came out pretty quickly even though there were a lot of us! We made it in time to get a round of drinks from happy hour before sitting down, which helped a lot with the bill at the end of the night...the drinks were super cheap!

Great Lunch Deal

I went to the Drunken Fish at the Landing today. The specials are super cheap!!! Two rolls are perfect for one person for lunch and you get soup!

The only way to describe the food and service is simply "Outstanding". I had the pleasure of dining at The Drunken Fish at Westport this past weekend and I will become a regular. The night started off with a very pleasant greeting at the hostess stand and again by our waiter once we were seated. The bar was full along with the restaurant throughout our dininig experience. This must say something because as soon as a table was ready to be seated it was with many people still waiting to be seated. Our waiter had a great personality and was able to describe the menu in a way that made want to try something new. His energy level was high as well as his selling abilities. The food ranged from Appetizers to Sashimi and Nigiri Sushi and from Regular to Signature Makimono Rolls, Stir Fry to Fried Rice. The menu had many great items to choose from. After the many suggestions our waiter offered we decided on the Soft Shell Crab Apprtizer which was Soft-Shell Crab lightly battered with a Katsu sauce. Our waiter suggested a variety of wines and we went with the Greg Norman Pinot Noir which complimented the crab very nicely. We then decided to try The Drunken Fish Roll, The White Tiger Roll, and The Starburst Roll. All were outstanding in presentation and in taste which makes you want to go back and try them all. It is not only hard to find good food these day's but it is harder to find a server as dedicated to his craft as our server was Saturday night. I will not only be back but I will certainly tell my friends and family of my experience at The Drunken Fish Westport.

Weird Waitresses

Great food, great prices, great happy hour.... not so much great service. I have seen people who are supposed to be working hanging out and talking more than any other restaurant. What's worse, it one girl at Drunken Fish Landing actually SITS WITH HER TABLES!!! I understand if you know someone, stop and say hello, but don't sit down when people are on a date trying to get to know each other. And don't push me to order a drink. I ordered what I wanted. I didn't want the sweet drink the waitress, Melissa, tried to push on me. And how strange it was how she stood at our table minutes after a normal person would've left. Self-service would've been preferred at this point!
