Wow!! I love the owner Christina she truly loves animals an it shows> She is very knowledgeable about dogs . The difference between a good job and a great job is attention to detail and Christina pays attention to every detail. My girl Mandi was so happy and calm when i picked her up. She was soft and smelled good and no more shedding. I am a customer for life every 4 weeks we will visit this wonderful establishment.

Christina is the owner of this wonderful, service oriented business. She spent a long time talking to me about what was important to me for my dog's grooming experience as well as the results I wanted to see. She asked many detailed questions and had excellent suggestions to enhance the aesthetic look of my gorgeous dog.
I have tried several groomers in the last several years and never has my dog looked this spectacular. He is a work of art!
I believe Christina treats each animal as if it were her own. I strongly recommend Delmar Doggie Design. It's easy to get to; just east of the Delmar Loop!

Christina can make a dog look like a streetcar - or anything else you might want to promote - but don't worry, she won't turn your dog into anything but his or her best self unless you have such a special need. We like our poodles long-haired in winter, and cool in the summer, and she will scissor their long, fluffy hair ( a time-consuming procedure) or shave them sleek and cool while preserving their long droopy ears and big fluffy topknots. She's a real pro and can handle skittish and nervous dogs if necessary - and make them look beautiful. She offers a discount to regular customers and will accommodate your drop-off and pick-up scheduling needs.Standard pricing. Highly recommended.
Christina knows what she is doing and does it well. She not only gets to know your dog but because she sees them often see notices changes in them. One time recently she noticed an eye problem with my little pug. Sure enough I went to the vet and my pug had an eye infection. The vet said left unnoticed it could have resulted in blindness. Another time she noticed a cracked tooth. And back to the vet I went. I have been going to Delmar Doggie for 3 years. I wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else but Christina at Delmar Doggie Design.

Christina Lorton is the owner and head groomer at Delmar Doggie Design and she is much more than just a groomer...she is an ARTIST.
As the mother of 2 very small bred Maltese that are skittish and nervous when being groomed, I trust her to handle them extra carefully when bathing them and I have found no one else in the City of St. Louis that can make them look as adorable as they do when I pick them up from her shop. Maltese have one layer coats and they need to be scissored, not sheared, so it takes special expertise to do a professional job on them. Christina has that expertise and I would take my dogs to no one else.
If you are looking for a groomer or want to try someone new, give her a chance to make your dog look like a champion! I highly recommend Delmar Doggie Design.
I decided to go here on whim .. a budding business and I was a little skeptical at first. Christina, the owner was really nice and personable and the doggie salon was super clean and quite trendy. I took my 8 month old Shih Tzu and she gave him THE BEST cut he's ever had. I've taken him to several groomers in the area and none were able to give him the type of cut and grooming that Christina could and he was out in record time! My first visit and I'm utterly thrilled. CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! I plan on bringing my second little Shih Tzu to her once he's old enough! Try her.. you will be amazed!
