Elaine & Denise are knowledgable and helpful. They advised me concerning the best lenses for my complex prescription, and gave me several other helpful tips. Choosing two frames for a ""new"" look was fun with them giving me suggestions from their large selection. My glasses came in a few days, and I love them!

I am surprised at the reviews I see here because I have also been going here since they were located in the mall and have never had a problem with rudeness or them using profanity! The doctors have always been very nice and seem to know what they are doing and the ladies are friendly and curtious.
The only thing I can think of for the bad reviews is that it is more common for people who are mad at something or someone to go to the trouble of writing reviews or letters, etc. Add to that the fact that sometimes when dealing with the ""public"" there are just some people that you will never be able to please. I have worked with the public for most of my life and believe me, I know!
I am actually going there this afternoon so if anything ""happens"" to make me change my mind about this review I will get back on here and let you know!
I think anyone reading these reviews to see if this ia a place you may want to vist should just go there yourself and judge for yourself if it meets your standards. Everyone has their own opinion and it isn't always the same for everyone!

I am glad that I found out for myself as opposed to listening to some of these mean spirited and vindictive reviews. It is obvious that these individuals were officious in nature and were unable to haggle lower pricing with threats.
In spite of their complaints, they came back to finalize their purchases when all was said and done. That says enough about the pricing.
Elaine was able to fit me with a pair of glasses that met my girlfriend’s approval without having to bring her along.
Denise was able to get the glasses finished that day.
These were high end glasses and they were cheap for the brand.
Both were friendly.
Especially Denise who has a well refined artistic eye.
I am so shocked seeing the bad reviews? We have always been treated GREAT!!!! Denise and Elaine have alwas been professional and kind to me and my family. Been going there for about 12 + years .The doctor to me seems so nice and was one of only a few Opts. that got the right script for conatcts. Please give them a chance and go see for yourself.

Elaine is very rude. We had been a customer for years but no more. When I told her we would be going somewhere else she said she could care less. I wasn't going to ruin her day. Said good luck getting cheaper glasses somewhere else. The glasses that she sold me were $445.00 - I think I'll do alright somewhere else!

We've been going here for years with absolutely no complaints. We started going there when they were at Crestwood Plaza out of convenience, but followed them to the new location. For contacts you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal, since follow-ups are included and the prices are very good. As for service we've always been treated well, and they are honest about delivery times on orders. If they were rude or disrespectful that would be a deal breaker for us, but it has never happened.

This optical center is the best and well worth the drive even if you don't live in the area like me!!! I was recommended by a co-worker and even without insurance benefits I saved more than what I had expected even for my exam alone. Be sure to check out their contact lens service agreements and they don't charge extra every year for contact lens fittings. Who does that for their patients? I've been wearing contacts for years and I've always been charged for fittings & exam & contacts.
The office said they have a doctor in everyday so, I was able to get in right away and they even made my two pair of eyeglasses in much less than 1hour! The ladies working there know their stuff and the doctor was very thorough. I like that because I had lots of questions since it was my first visit at this office. While I was in this office looking around at the eyewear, I overheard several of compliments from other patients. They work like a family and even the patients are like one of the family members they willingly pitch in their opinions also. So if you like saving much of your hard earned dough, and get good fast service go! Check it out for yourself! If you get too lazy to pick up your stuff they will ship it to you just for a few bucks to pay for the postage fee- Like the optician said to me ""Shipping is no problem.""

I have been going here for about 12 years now. once they moved out of the mall I started only stopping here if it was an emergency and I could not get in anywhere else.
I don't know what happened but it seems that they fired all of the people who worked here that was kind and friendly and only left the rude and obnoxious ones. The dr that works here is also so rude and doesnt care about his patients at all. They need a class in how to treat customers or they just need to pack it up and close down. I know of 4 other people who have stopped going here because of the attitudes of the doctor and workers, what a shame, I would steer clear of this place!

I have taken all of my kids to American Eyewear for sixteen years. They have the cheapest prices in town to get both your eye checkup, and glasses or contact lenses.I have to have glasses now to pass my driving test, and I used citysearch to find them because they moved 1 mile east of crestwood. I drive up there from Saint Genevieve county, it is worth the drive to save that much money.Just a pair of glasses at lenscrafters START at 130.00.that does not include your checkup. I get Johnny's six months of throwaway contacts plus his checkup for under 100.00.The doctors are great, the people are friendly, the service is excellent and the selection of glasses, etc., is as good as anyone else's. You can spend a lot if you want to, but if you are on a budget, this is the place.
