The service was good but the food was bad. None of our dinners we're good.
Ordered Veal Marsala. Was tasteless. Veal was dry and sauce had no flavor at all. Tried to give us very small salad to share. Had we not objected not had enough. Also to talk. Was birthday disappointed.
I was here on 8/24/2018. Myself and 4 friends stopped in for a late lunch. No one was in the restaurant when we got there. We were the only customers. Our waitress was very nice. But the food was not good. Came out one plate at a time. We were told by waitress, the cook/ owner was on a phone call about a wedding she would be catering. We asked to speek to her and she never did come out. She was trying to cook our food while on the phone!! My lasagna noodles were not done and the meat in the sauce was burned when I finally got it an hour after ordering. Two friends ordered the exact same meal ,one got it the other did not. I would not normally post but when the owner wouldn't even come talk to us that said alot!!
Most of the reviews on Lorenzo's have been on their excellence for their menu, unfortunately, this review is based solely on the differential treatment we received because the person in charge of our party was African American.Yes, we did have reservations and yes, they did have several empty large tables prepared in the main dining area but we were seated in a room away from the main dining room. Our table didn't even have a cloth tablecloth and napkins or set up nicely as the it should have been with reservations. If it had been up to me, I would have left. My cousin was courteous and said there was nothing that she could have done to change things without making a scene. We did have two children in our party but there were several tables in the main dining room that had children, too. It was the hardest $160 bill to pay for a dinner that left us all with a bad taste in our mouth. If the proprietor knows this is how a select group of customers is being served, he should go back to Italy.
After being seated, my guests and I were never approached again. After more than ten minutes and employees walking around our table, we returned the menus to the front of the house and said we were leaving because they had just seated new customers AND proceeded to take their orders. No one seemed to know WHY we were never approached.
Wonderful food and service! Very consistent, have dined here many times and always enjoy!!Small space with a big atmosphere.
Excellent food, warm community atmosphere and great service. Best Italian in town! Head chef Rick is delightful and Michael the host will greet you with a smile. Give it a try!
I always seem to get the Pasta Tutimare (spelling) and that is because it's so darn good. Their salads are delicious.
Yum yum yum. We will definitely be back! Look no further for delicious authentic Italian yumminess.
You won't find a better place for the taste of Italy & a true brick oven pizza ! The service made us feel like we were family!
