Definitely not the place you want to be. I was arrested, with no evidence of said crime have you, and had to stay a night at the St. Louis City Justice Center on a 24 hour hold. They keep you in a holding cell with a number of other offenders. They feed you a small container of orange drink, a bologna sandwich, and a small bag of stale tortilla chips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You have to sleep on these cold hard benches or the floor of the holding cell with no blanket. It is freezing in there as well. The guards won't tell you anything. So you never know what is going on. I got there at 8 PM and wasn't brought to the second floor holding cell until after 3 in the morning. They didn't take my prints and mugshot until around 8 in the morning. I understand it is jail and is not meant to be comfortable but that doesn't mean you have to treat inmates like less than human beings. It was awful. Do not get arrested in the city or else this is where you'll end up. It isn't nice, it's filthy, the food is gross, and it's horrible in every way imaginable.
if you are on any kind of medication you may are may not get your medicine i was incarcerated for four (4) months and had trouble getting my drugs I had to call the EEOC and file a suite
