I just got my haircut this week and was told by James about the bad experience he had with some of the Groupon customers. He precceded to tell me of these women coming in saying things ike,"I'll take your card, but I could never afford to come back", "I use Suave in my hair, so save your spiel",and "I just want what is on the Groupon, don't try and sell me anything else". He went on to say some of them don't even leave gratuity which is etiquette 101! The woman below is clearly upset about being charged for a blow-dry. It baffles me that she would not talk to James when she came in. Why would she come in if her daughters hair was butchered? I find it disheartening that the private owners who bring alot of tax dollars to St. Louis get beat up because someone is to cheap to pay alittle extra to support their business'. I know that james is involved in about 200 different charities and has rescued OVER 100 dogs from being euthanized. He is very fair when approached with respect. I am a huge fan of the salon and i always get a good cut (except once when he forgot my sideburns-so what). I asked him how many people come in and out of the door a month and I was shocked to hear over 2000! He must be doing something right, he is looking at expanding for the fifth time! Ladies....lighten up, insist on talking to James if there is a issue. I hated hearing these stories coming out of his mouth and I want to remind people that there are two sides to every story, and then the truth.
After doing my research & reading reviews for braiding shop. I decide to get me S. twist here even after reading the recent review. Base on the fact after reading every reviews from other shops. I found none of them had rave reviews . I 'm glad I followed my own advice. My twists are very nice & neat. It's only been a week but I haven't lost one yet . But mind you I did look @ their company policy posted it does states if you loose any braids within 1or 2 wks. They will replace. My appointment was @ nine they arrive 10 minutes later. Was not a big deal for me. I will suggest not to do a walk in or a same day call in. They will have to work you in. The shop was clean. The ladies were professional. The price is the usually for S. twist. I over heard the quotes for other type of braids it was the usual price you should expect to pay. Another benefit they have hair there. Hopefully you're not into crayon color hair. If so you might need to bring your hair. Mind you I don't think that will take your price down , I got my twist a long length so I will be able to do different styles. So it took about 8 hrs. Only negative I can report is . First let me say I admire there determination in working under certain restriction . But @ the end of the day I might have been there maybe an hour or so less if the baby stayed @ home. Thank my lucky stars my braider baby was a little older & behave fairly well . Other than this small issue for me . I would highly recommend this shop.
So it used to take me FOREVER to style my hair after I showered. I would have to put product in, blow dry it for a ridiculously long time, more product, flat iron the heck out of it, more product, etc. It was a long process to try and straighten my hair and reduce the frizziness. Well, I have been a long time client of Preston Salon. I told the stylist I wanted to chop my hair off because of the length of time it takes me to style it. I rarely did my hair. I always just threw it up. Steven (owner) convinced me to try a new process he has that told me would drastically reduce the amount of time it took me to fix my hair. It is the Keratin Process. A week later, I was scheduled and ready to go. Angela is the one who did the treatment on my hair. People's hair is made of Keratin and the process simply puts Keratin back in your hair. Anyway, the first time I washed my hair, I began to blow dry it. Not even kidding, it took 5 minutes to blow dry! I did not need any product, I did not need to flat iron my hair, I could even leave it damp and it stayed styled! Since then, I have not worn my hair up! I fix my hair all the time and receive tons of compliments on how soft, shiny, and not frizzy my hair is! This is a revolutionary hair process and I HIGHLY recommend it if it takes you a long time to do your hair! It is the best thing I have ever done for my hair and love every minute of it.
I've been converted! I'm a Mommy and never understood why people would spend the time or money to make a salon appt. when you can just run into Great Clips. BUT NOW I KNOW. A friend (with great hair) recommended Preston to me and the experience was amazing. Having my hair washed by Momma was like getting a massage. And then Steven did wonders with my hair. He asked me about my routine and everything and I told him it had to be wash & go. He spent a long time and it felt like he gave each hair special attention. And the final result was awesome! I felt like a movie-star or something. And even better, then next day I washed my hair and just ran my fingers through and it was still awesome. I was so impressed, I took Steven's advice and went back the next week for color with Antonio. He listened well, but I didn't know what I wanted. Just something different. Well he put three different colors into my hair including a bright orange. It sounds crazy, but I love it! It's so fun and hip. He knew what I wanted even though I couldn't tell him. And he was so nice. So now I'm hooked. Such a difference. SO worth it! They make getting your hair done enjoyable, like a special treat, instead of another errand. Thank you guys so much!
Bought a car on 6-10, got my emissions 10 days later and tried to register only to realize we had no title. When calling to find out where my title was they told me to call back when my salesman was working bc I guess he is the only one who can look info up. With working full time being in third trimester with a toddler at home finally called back on 6-27 and still no title. Lady stated that it went in mail that day as certified so should be there in couple days at most. Which meant I had to get to post office during open hours to pick up, I received the title and loan paperwork a few days later, leaving me with a week to register, only to go in license office again to find out the promised safety inspection wasnt with paperwork, had they not said it would come with a safety I could have had it done with emissions, when calling again they said if it wasnt sent it must have expired. The easy thing for them would have been to do a safety inspection before9re sending paperwork. Instead telling me to bring it up the next day...40 min away! We brought to our local place, they stated they will refund but its literally the last day. Im full time worker and this caused so much headache/stress/late for work that im downright angry.
I have always been hesitant to purchase from used car dealers as I have always went to the branded Chevrolet dealers to ensure I was getting a good reliable vehicle at a good price. I noticed all their positive feedback and thought I would try them. We had received better service from them than I have ever gotten from any car dealer ever. There was never any hidden strings or fine print!! Everything they say and offer they followed through with on our purchase. I was pleased with the price as It was low enough I didn't even have to negotiate or argue the price down. It was very reasonable price. Our truck we purchased had been the one we wanted but we were worried about the trade-in value our trade in vehicle. They gave us more than we expected and again It was more than fair!. There was never any stress or harassing comments to get us to buy anything. Any questions we had were answered without any hesitation or bs. They will be our first and last stop when we buy our next vehicle! We felt like the service was very personable to our needs and would buy another vehicle from them in a heartbeat! I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you Rockwood Motors for the A+ service!
This dealership and employees are top rated A+. My husband and I was searching for a vehicle that we could not find in our Illinois area but found what we thought was the perfect vehicle, but we were hesitant on taking that long drive and the vehicle was not what we expected. We asked our salesperson Jason Gunter a bunch of questions about the vehicle and he took extra steps for us and video the exterior and interior of the car and it was just perfect. He made the process so simple and easy. Everything was done via phone and internet. When we arrived at the dealership, we were so impressed with the beauty of the dealership that we felt as though we were in an exclusive hotel. They even had our vehicle in it's own display room waiting for us and everything was describe just as Jason said. I would definitely do business with Plaza Land Rover and have already spread the word to everyone I know to please go purchase a vehicle from them, it was such a great experience to be treated as though we had a pocket full of money. I would also like to add if you are getting your vehicle finance, Angie McCants is the best!
Let me begin by stating that I have not been to a beautician who was not my sister or sister-in-law since Parsons (over 20 years ago). I went to Shi for the first time this week in hopes to have a genuine experience and come out with diva hair. I loved every moment of the experience. The shop is beautiful, located in the heart of downtown, the stylist are wonderful, positive, and uplifting. My stylist Tiffany was so so "GREAT"....She massaged my head while she washed and conditioned it. Talked me through different products and steps.......The ladies were so friendly . You never know what to expect with salons and women so I have managed to do my hair myself for the past 10 plus years and periodically go to my sister beauticians for techniques that I could not do myself. I see the different in paying someone unrelated to you to do your hair. I have had the Shi experience!!! I will be back for more...Thanks Ladies....FYI--My husband said you look beautiful and like you used to back in the day.....lol.... I feel like a mega star!!!
Hi, I have been going to Z Salon for about 2 years now. I'm a last minute type of person-I always over-estimate my ability to get things done in the amount of time I have. So, invariably, I don't plan my hair styling appointments-they just sort of happen "when I am in the area". I have never been turned away, they always accomodate me. My stylist, Alisa is amazing. I'm not sure what the best part is-the finished product or the amazing scalp massage she gives while washing my hair-there's really nothing like it. Especially for someone who really does not like to relax, either! Anyhow, I had a major event to go to-important both personally and professionally to me. I was not pulling off what I wanted to at home, so I dashed to the Z Salon at the last minute before their closing time, on a Friday night! They got me in, got me styled in an unbelievable quick time (I think it took around 10 minutes) and I was off to my event-only about 6 minutes late...They saved the day, the weekend, really, and maybe more!
I was in for a 25K maintenance check as notified by my Avalon startup message. I expected an oil change and a tire rotation. I was told that my initial Maintenance coverage was for 2 years and 25,000. Unfortunately I purchased my Avalon in April 2013, over three months past the 2 year mark. I had also purchase additional years of Toyota service agreement. The agent told me that tires are rotated every 5000 miles and the oil is changed every 10000 miles due to synthetic oil. Because my Avalon was over two years old I would not receive the free tire rotation. I would receive the tire rotation and oil change at 30,000 because of my extended maintenance. I thought I would have continuous maintenance so there appeared to be a hole in my coverage because I did not drive the 25000 before the two year point. My Service agent Dennis Perry made a call to the proper person and I received my 25000 mile tire rotation at no charge. I appreciate the excellent service I received.
