there is no ice cream or computers as other reviews state. We're new to the city so we try to make the best of our surroundings and do our laundry there. I dropped off my comforter to be dry cleaned and almost two weeks later they found it in a plastic bag on the floor with crap on top of it and it wasn't cleaned. they refused to take my ticket number on the phone and apparently no one bothered to call me when it was returned - with no explanation why it wasn't cleaned. an entire workplace of frigging lazy people.

Everybody at Band Box Cleaners is very friendly&nice.
The owner was very rude the moment I walked through the door, looking at me from behind the partition and drinking something as if to wait and see if I would leave. Finally, he asked me "What you want?" I needed a couple of wool caps cleaned. He first glanced at them and said "send to leather shop." "But they're wool," I mentioned. "You clean wool, right?" Yes, ok, I'll clean them. Twenty dollars." "A piece?" I asked. "You no like, you go somewhere else," he snapped. I have had these caps for well over a decade, and have had them cleaned several places. It is always around $5 a cap. How much is a wool pair of pants to clean?" I asked. $7 he replied. "Then why are these twenty when they have considerably less fabric than a pair of pants?" "You no like, you go somewhere else." I had come to this place because, as a Christian, I wanted to support fellow Christians, and I saw on the review site that they had Jesus pictures in their store. "Why are you treating me this way?" I asked. "This my business, I do how I want. You no like, you go elsewhere," he seethed. "What kind of witness to Christ are you giving by treating me like a jerk?" I asked. "You a jerk!" He yelled at me. "The Lord rebuke you," I calmly replied. "F@#k you! Get outta my store!" he yelled back. I left astonished at how this resulted from me merely asking to have a couple of wool caps cleaned.
Though I'm sure the dry-cleaning service is outstanding, "Alterations" is printed in bold text on their front window and their "alterations" are less than desirable. Maybe it isn't necessarily the unsuccessful alteration that put a bad taste in my mouth, but more so the lack of customer service I experienced. I told the gentleman at the front desk I wanted my pants hemmed so I tried on a pair. He folded up one leg and, without measuring the other, decided that would work. When one pair of pants came back with two legs at two different lengths, he refused to fix the issue. He said he sends them off to a tailor and if I wanted them fixed, I would have to pay another $15. He also would not give me the name of the tailor. He finally told me the tailor is run out of someone's home and I could not have the address. To be clear, he did not measure the pants on each leg individually and when they came back hemmed incorrectly, he refused to help. I paid for a service, did not get what I paid for, and am now eating the cost. Thanks Globe Cleaners. If I could give you zero stars, I would.
for the price they service is very good. i have never had a problem with this cleaners. just try you may like them .
Very rude. Business "lost" my garment. almost 2 years ago today. They called me today and would not let me have it withoutme paying or it. Very dishonest. Do NOT do business with them,.
I recently took a pair of pants to Westway Des Peres for a minor repair. The pants were $140 from J.Crew and I had only worn them twice. After 6 weeks had gone by and I had not heard from someone, I went in to check on them. I was informed that the pants were not there and one of the employees said she would have to call around to the other locations looking for them. I never heard back from her so I went in a second time and only then did they let me know that the pants were lost. They said that they could give me a store credit. I told them that I wanted to be reimbursed for the pants because they were essentially brand new. I even had the link to J.Crew's website showing the current selling price. I was told that "their policy was posted in around the store" and that they would not be making any accommodations. I have been a customer of Westway for many years and was very disappointed at how this was handled. All of the employees were very rude and when we finally spoke to the owner she was even worse. I cannot believe how disrespectful she was about the situation. I will NEVER go back.
Obviously the last person to write a review here is either STUPID or never had to go to a laundromat in their life cuz I have a 3yr old and a 12yr old and this place is a GODSEND for being crap n efficient..... I went here before n it was wonderful to finally have a place my kids would sit for hrs n be happy n the staff was super friendly n let me know the cheapest best way to wash n dry it saved me over $30 I'd normally spend at the myriad of other places I've been to the past half decade and I'm abt to return today because it was that wonderful the first time I couldn't think of going anywhere else now ����

This place is awful!! PLEASE do not take your clothes here! I took my dress here a few weeks ago, and when I got it back, pieces of the dress were missing. 23 grommets "fell off" of the dress during the dry cleaning process, and the remaining ones were scratched down to the metal (no longer their original gold color). When I asked the owner about it, he said he did not know where the grommets are, and that it is the dress manufacturer's fault (even though the tag says to have it professionally dry cleaned-this is a $134 Calvin Klein dress, so it is of pretty good quality). I argued that my dress was in perfect condition until I brought it to his store. He said the dress is clean, so his service was "okay". Every time I asked to be compensated for the damaged (and no longer wearable) dress, he said, "I don't understand". I went back to his store multiple times, with different people explaining the situation, and he still claimed there was nothing he could do. I was hoping to be compensated for the dress, but would have settled for the price of grommets (since I would have to buy some if I were to try and fix the dress). I would have even been happy if he saved the grommets/found them in the washing machine and gave them back to me! But no, he apparently lost 23 quarter-sized pieces of metal. I am a very unhappy customer, especially since my dress came on a hanger with a tag that said, "We love our customers!" If that were true, then why don't you take responsibility for your mistake with my dress? Or at least treat us with respect and act like you care about the fact that you ruined a dress! Dry cleaners are supposed to return garments in better condition than when they received them, not worse!! Save yourself the hassle, please!
