I recently moved from out of state to the Gallery Apartments on Washington. I was looking for a studio/efficiency anywhere in the city of Saint Louis that was less than $700/mo. I toured a number of places, and the Gallery Apartments was 1) infinitely cleaner and more well-equipped than the competition and 2) the second-cheapest rent I found.Coming from my previous city, this part of Saint Louis first struck me as seedy. I thought that I'd be constantly looking over my shoulder. Let me tell you, I was wrong. The Gallery is filled with young professionals, graduate students, and some older adults. The street is a mix of town houses and suburb-style houses. The streets are always well-lit, and the off-street parking is gated and has a flood-light always on. Regardless, there are Jaguars and BMW's parked overnight every night without incident. The neighbors are extremely friendly. A few streets north gets a little rough, but a few blocks west are some of the nicest places in town and a few blocks east is the center of arts in the city. The location is great, though I'd recommend having a car. Biking is also a viable option, but walking will take a while to get to anywhere but the grocery store and some fast-food joints. My efficiency is huge compared to most. The bed is lofted, opening up the floor space. Washer and dryer in unit. Large kitchen appliances. Hardwood floors. Granite counters and bathroom tiles. Well-kept hallways. The entire premises is under video surveillance and you need pass-codes to get anywhere inside. The inner area between the two buildings has a nice grill and seating area. The employees are extremely responsive and helpful, and I've never had an issue with them. I honestly have no complaints so far.Highly recommended.
This was the first time I've used movers, so I was a little nervous about allowing strangers to handle and move all of my stuff. I was concerned that the cost.. I called Us Van Lines to find out everything about the move. Chuck came to discuss and provide quote. He studied my belongings and prepared a list and estimated that it will tahe about 3 hours for the move and will need 2 guys for packing, Loading, and unloading and will cost me $350. I thought the cost was reasonable and I fixed up with him. That really did not reduce my nervousness. On the day of the move these guys came on time and quickly started working. Boy they were fast and careful in their work. I was feeling better. After reaching my new abode, they asked me to supervise the arrangement and again quickly started unloading my stuff and bringing them up. I was telling them which stuff goes where, and it was done. These guys were really professional.Thank god my nervousness proved wrong, because the move couldn't have been easier, and the $350 or so that I paid proved to be worth every bit for what I considered to be A LOT of stuff. And I would really encourage you to use Us Van Lines . I was so pleased that I'm using them again next week to move my stuff out of storage and into my new apartment.
I recently moved with US Van Lines and had an excellent experience. Most aspects where I had struggled with previous movers were such a breeze with them...I didn't know this was possible. Right from scheduling to initial estimation visit, Chuck was a pleasure to work with, very honest and up front. When our closing date was delayed at the lenders' end, he even helped reschedule the moving date to a couple days later at our desired times at no extra charge! The moving crew, headed by Tim, arrived right on time and ready to move. We had chosen a 'full service' move which included both packing and moving...the crew was extremely adept at packing items quickly and appropriately. The icing on the cake was that the crew finished much earlier than the initial estimates...and at a cost of $100 below the initial cost estimate!! Unheard of...In retrospect, though, if I have to point out any minor improvement areas (yes, they were great, but can be better!), one, they can arrive with better and sufficient boxes (they almost ran out at the end and had to adjust) and two, may be take a couple extra seconds to label boxes better so unpacking is easier. Overall though, I would definitely use US Van Lines again for my moving needs in the future...good job!
Great Job and very professional. My partner and I had to move his and my apartment into a new apartment all in the past two weeks. Needless to say we had our hands full so it was very important to get the best movers for our budget. We got that and more with US Van Lines. They were able to schedule two separate moves within a few days notice. The guys showed up early, or on time, and they presented themselves in a very professional manner. They handled all of our items with the best care. Nothing was damaged or mishandled. They worked quickly, efficiently, and smartly. Most importantly, they listened to and followed any of our moving concerns and instructions. They offered great stress relief from the rigors of moving. Great job overall from the front office to the guys in the trucks. This was our first time using USVL, and we were not disappointed. They will definitely be the first moving company we call for any big moves in the future, and we encourage anyone else to do so.
I would like to give my experience as a property owner and my relationship and dealings with Efthim Management Company. I purchased my property in March of 1998 and selected a property management company that did not pan out and left me in a tough situation as an out of state owner. I reached out to Efthim in December of 1998, explained my situation, and what I needed formal management company and we agreed to start a business relationship in January of 1999. There have been several times in which I am glad that I switched to Efthim. There have always been ties in which there have been some disagreements as with any working relationship. But all in all, I have been more than pleased with how Efthim has managed my property over the years and I definitely made the right choice with going with them 14 years ago. It is a great family owned business with great people, great communication and great follow up which was very important to me as an out of state property owner.
Tim and his crew Frank, Igor, Otis recently moved me. The guys arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and took care of everything (packing as well as moving.) While it was more expensive than the other quotes I received, I knew that I was in good hands. You do get what you pay for. With some of the moving companies you never know if you can trust them not to help themselves to some of your goods along the way. The crew that came out for my move were well educated/well traveled, honest and worked hard to move everything without damage. The guys got everything to the new location in one piece (no breakage at all.) There were a couple of boxes which weren't marked or which had stuff from two different areas; but since that was the worst thing that happened I can't hold a little mistake in the rush to complete the move on time against them. Next time I need to move, it will be US Van Lines.
Who knew a moving company could actually provide an outstanding experience? Beth made my reservation and spent so much time answering all my nervous questions (having had bad moving experiences before), without applying any pressure or making me feel rushed. She was simply there to help. Chuck did my estimate and was incredibly fast, helpful, and creative as I tried to figure out ways to make my move more affordable (e.g., which things I should take in my car vs. put in with the movers). Kem (foreman), Darrel, Robert did the pickup and did an amazing job. Wrapped every piece of furniture (I ve NEVER had that happen during a move before), helped me take down curtain rods, helped me diagnose the problem when my vacuum stopped working, helped me make sure I had loaded my car up properly (so things wouldn’t break). Outstanding experience. I already told all my family and friends to call these guys.
After checking so many moving companies on line I decided to use US Van Lines for my move from MD to Long Island NY, not just because they had great reviews but also because I saw few time their truck in my apartment complex so I trusted my neighbors too. My experience with the company was excellent, Shera was the Moving Specialist I was working with and she is helpful polite and very acknowledged, I have one bedroom set and few boxes to move but still moving in NY is not easy. My mover in Maryland and New York were on time and that was very important to me especially in NY where I had only 4 hours for the service elevator and parking the truck actually arrive 30 min earlier but that was not a problem at all. No damages I ended up paying $27 less than my quote I gave $150 but I was so happy and did not mind. Thank you US Van Lines for the Great service.
I've never used a moving company before, always stuck to a U-Haul, but the last time I moved, I scratched my grandmother's furniture, so when I was moving this time, I decided to use movers. I searched on the net, and decided to try US Van Lines. Great from the get go. Customer Service was very kind, and straightforward when it came to pricing. I got a deal because I chose Friday rather than a Saturday or Sunday. They called me the day before, to confirm. I had a two hour window that they would arrive, between 8 and 10 am, and they showed up promptly at 8:15. 3 guys, all very nice, and FAST. Did not take a break, and all in all the move was less than 3 hours. That included moving my HEAVY furniture from the 2nd floor apartment to the truck, drive time (1/2 hour) and unloading at the new place. I highly recommend Alliance. VERY VERY professional.
