Did a special order for a gender reveal party. The owner thinks Americans are stupid. If I decribed the ordeal I went through with him, it would take me six pages to write. I ended up going to my car and crying in the parking lot.
Owner Carol was EXTREMELY rude when we arrived today to pay for our cake order that we had discussed with the designer 3 days prior and were told they would be happy to accommodate. Carol immediately told us the CUPCAKES we were ordering (Yes, cupcakes. We weren't asking for anything outrageous.) would not be accommodated for the baby shower we are having in 1 week. Simple order. Just a slight variation to the decoration they show in their book. Carol very abruptly stated her designer "didn't clear it" with her and they would not be fulfilling our request as promised. Not even an apology. We have spent untold amounts of money over the years at this bakery with elaborate cakes we have designed and they baked for us accordingly. These cakes were then featured in their books and ads. We had hoped to use them for our wedding planned next year but WILL NOT patronize them again. The disrespect and rudeness shown by the owner was unmatched. How she can continue with not only patrons, but employees alike, is a mystery. I have always been their biggest promoter to anyone needing a bakery. I will now be sure to let everyone know of the deplorable treatment we received from non other than the owner, herself.
My dogs love the treats. The service and process was great. I will definitely continue to buy treats from them.
This bakery not only serves outstanding baked goods but fabulous deli items as well. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
The level of service here is exemplary. They have people who truly care about clients and do their best to give best possible products.
On Dec 22, 2016, I went to this McArthur. The service I received was terrible. The women who took my order did not seem to want to serve me. I wanted to order croissant for breakfast. She told me that they were out, when my coworker told her that she'd just ordered some, she asked me if I wanted them frozen! And, repeatedly berated my coworker on how unreasonable she was being for calling her out. Another worker offered to go to the back and get some more croissant, but worker #1 shooed her away. I asked her if she could heat them up but she kept saying they were frozen. So I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and asked for my bagel to be toasted. It took really long time to toast my bagel. The other workers were able to finish making 2 croissant sandwiches. I said to worker #1 that it would have taken her the same amount of time or even quicker to prepare my order of croissant. Another worker jumped in and said the croissants are for sandwich orders only, but she didn't even offer me the croissant sandwich. Worker #1 in the mean time completely ignored me, would not even look my way. I tried to speak with the manager and she wasn't available. I will never do business with this restaurant. I hope that this establishment will do better with customer service. I don't know why this particular worker wasn't doing her job on this day, so I will not speculate. What I know is that I felt very unwelcomed in that space. I may appear different from most of the customers there on that morning, but my money looks exactly the same. Do better McAurther's Bakery!
When I came to visit this shop, I was amazed with the atmosphere of the place. The time of service is also very well satisfying.
St Louis Kolache is a nice new addition to the county. The two times I have been, they lean more to the sweet & fruit kolaches as opposed to the savories, but they do a good job with them. They have some creative offerings that I will be back to try as well.
This place is absolutely incredible! My Nana made kolaches for us growing up. Finding this place was bringing back childhood memories, but BETTER! The service is quick and the product is wonderful. Dare I say, better than Nana's...?
Great bread and cookies! A family tradition!
