I am always VERY satisfied with the service from the technicians at Sears Appliance Repair. I must say the process to obtain this excellent service seemed wonky to me with this last service experience. My dishwasher completely stopped working and was blinking two specific codes. I shared this when calling for a service appointment. It was only when the technician called at the end of the day of the appointment that we learned he had to order the needed parts as indicated by the codes on the machine. The parts wouldn't not be available to replace for over another week. And then the next available appointment was several days after the parts arrived. Ugh! So I initially really made an appointment to order parts. No one told me that when I first called. Our dishwasher was out of commission for three weeks because of the current process.
While the service was excellent, it is very frustrating to sit at home by the phone waiting from 8-5. I gave a cell # for them to call but he used my home number so couldn't even work outside. It would be so helpful if you could narrow down your appointment times to at least morning or afternoon. That way the whole day is not wasted. Even telling us what order my service is in first or last would at least narrow it down a bit. This really makes me rethink where I buy my products in the future.
Pleased with the young man that repaired my washer and it seems that it was repaired properly. My only complaint is Sears' policy of having to give up an entire day for the repair. I feel there should a way to commit to an 8-12 or a 12-5 appointment time. If it would be later than 12 a phone call could be made or if there was a cancellation, a phone call could be made to offer for an earlier appointment. Both times, I missed a get-together with friends............. Not the end of the world, but aggravating............
