They botched the chimney flashing job, just slapped it together without tucking the flashing into the brick as they were supposed to do but rather just made a mess with tubes of caulking. The way we discovered this, had several leaks that came down through our bedroom ceiling. This was about 4 months after they did the job!



We tried to call them, got no answer and they would not return messages left on voicemail. My wife thought we should take them to court but rather than go through all the hassle, we hired someone that a friend recommended. Theyapparently had heard of Dave's Roofing, laughed when we told them who had done the job. Apparently there are a lot of unhappy and dissatisfied customers. I wish we would have known before we hired them. Why are they still in business? They should be put in jail, instead of running around loose, ripping everybody off.



Gave 1 star because the review would not allow us to leave 0 stars, which is what they deserve. Dave is dishonest rip off and should be in jail.

They did a lousy job cleaning up, literally hundreds of old nails were dumped all over our garden and lawn around the house. Our riding lawnmower picked one of these up, caused a flat tire. We found that many of caps were put on crooked and haphazardly. They would not return our calls. My husband had to fix them himself, it looked awful.



Sloppy workmanship all around, would not hire again and would not recommend them.

Homeowner's, beware!



Dave's Roofing was a awful company to hire, tried to cheat us by shingling over a pronounced and easily visible sag in the roof, an issue which they were hired to fix, included in the itemized bid to do the job. They tried cheating us on the materials in attempt to make more profit. It was also discovered they were not diligently removing all the nails from the old sheathing - but rather, covering them, hiding them with the new tar paper and shingles.



It was discovered only after they had left the job site that Dave's Roofing had apparently used a circular saw to cut off the overhang from the flat roof section of our home, creating a situation so that now all the rain water pours down the fascia.

In less than one year, the fascia on the flat roof section is already showing visible staining because of this. We were really bummed out that we did not notice this until after we had paid them and they had taken our money and were gone. They needed to be supervised at all times to assure the work was done correctly.



Dave and his crew proved themselves to be the kind of people who don't give a damn about doing quality workmanship; not only unconscientious but outright dishonest. These guys are only interested in making more money per hour - regardless of putting on a roof that lasts. We now have at least 2 leaks in the roof; (likely due to the old nails they failed to remove) - one over the bedroom ceiling and another, several staining spots along the hallway to the bathroom. The hallway ceiling is stained, the bedroom ceiling plaster now ruined in that corner of the room.



Tried to call Dave to discuss this but he used his caller id, strategically screened our calls, would not return the courteous and professional voice mail messages that we left on his answering machine. Am presently consulting with our attorney in Galylord, preparing to take them to court. What a nightmare this has been!



Hiring this company was a big mistake. I only wish there had been a review like this one that might have warned me of these crooks.



Please save yourself the trouble and don't make the same mistake I made by hiring these dishonest fly-by-nights. We had to leave a one star rating since the system is set up so that it does not allow the selection of "zero star" status, which is what we think they deserve.
