Our alternator died late on a Saturday night, and we needed to drive home to northern Utah on Sunday. We found information about Hotshots Mobile Repair just after midnight, so I called right then and was surprised when Mike answered the phone. We arranged to have him check the car first thing Sunday morning, and I don't think the experience could have gone much better. He arrived in a large truck with all the tools you'd ever need, was thorough in confirming the problem, and explained things as he went. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience, and I felt very satisfied with the service provided. I highly recommend contacting Hotshots Mobile Repair if you have any car problems. After the interaction we had with Mike, I wouldn't even think twice about it. He'd be the first person I'd call.
Very knowledgeable about foreign cars - knew more about solutions for my Porsche than the dealer. Also, showed me a quick trick for a no-cost solution to address an issue with my Audi. They are the best in service. Wes will make sure he finds a solution no matter how complicated the problem - and at a great price!
I went in for an oil change for $29 and left with an $89 dent in my pocket. I agreed to pay $20 for a new air filter but what really made me angry was that after they were done they told me that they didn't stock my oil filter (2015 f-150) so that was extra. $20 extra!?! There is a filter included in the price of the oil change and then they hit me with an extra $20 on a filter I can get anywhere for $10-12. Not happy with the bait and switch tactic from a skinny smug little man-bun wearing prick. Never again.
I needed some work on my car and I called Mike and he came out to my house. We scheduled it at my convenience and it was awesome. He was very professional and got the job done quickly with no errors. He is good at what he does!
I had "Honest 1" replace my water pump. Wtithin 6 months the pump began to leak at the shaft seal. The pump had a "lifetime" warranty so I took the car back to them. They emphasized the warranty did not include labor. I was very unhappy they did not stand behind their work better than that but concluded the repair would not include a new pump under the "warranty". They exaggerated the labor time required and charged me as much, or more than it would have cost with no warranty on the pump at all. I WILL NEVER GO TO HONEST 1 FOR SERVICE AGAIN. THEY ARE NOT HONEST!
I wish I could give them less than 1 star. They said we needed $3000 of work then found out what a horrendous reputation they have and went elsewhere. After extensive diagnostics over 2 days, we needed a whopping gallon of coolant. Final bill at reputable place was $33.
I went in a half prior to them closing to get help changing the bulb to my back tail light. I purchased the bulb, lube, and window glass cleaner. The guy told me he can help depending on how hard the light is to get to. He told me I needed the tool to undo the bolt, I told him I had no tools with me, he replied well the shell gas station opens in the morning. So I go to the manager of the store to purchase a tool and tell him what just happened and he doesn't respond to me. I ask don't you help change bulbs he said yes we do, but we've been busy. So while I'm trying to undo the bolt with the tool I notice they have no customers and the first guy helping me comes to see if I was still outside. I returned all the items and told the store manager that was the rudest way to treat a customer and he doesn't say anything he just says we try our best and I replied then I would of had someone undoing the bolt for me. I wasted a half hour, drove 10 minutes just to fix the light, all for nothing.
Jon B. We pulled in with our Mercedes Engine light on. They were very nice to see us to diagnose the problem. They ran a diagnostic test and suggested we had bad fuel and that we should drain the tank and change the filter. They did reset the sensor and we thot we were on our way. The engine light came on 5 min's later and we called as it was 5 pm and they said they couldn't help us for another day. We were desperate to return to our home in Orem for work, school etc. They referred us to some other places to drain the fuel. They charged us $117 for what they did. As it turns out the problem was simply the fuel filter, which another business took care of the following day. I called and stated that every other business we called offered the diagnostics for little or nothing. We felt like they were very nice to see us at the end of the day, but took extra time and would have done more than was needed at a much greater cost. We wouldn't recommend this business for others. They seem more interested in the money.
I'm a 69 year old with a strong mechanical background who has always done my own work since I've been THE ONLY mechanic I trusted. That is mainly because I've seen what some mechanics do. I am presently unable to do my own work due to a back injury so I had to get someone else to do my work. I went to Pro Auto Care based upon the recommendation of a friend.I brought in a 10 year old Malibu with two oil leaks. The dealer had not been able to isolate where the car was leaking.After looking at my car the told me where the leaks were and that it would cost about $360 something to get it fixed. Considering what the problems were their price seemed very reasonable so I gave them the go-ahead to proceed. I came back the next day to pick up the car and was VERY pleasantly surprised to learn that they were only charging me $272.75 for the work. That just doesn't happen !!! And in addition the car is fixed and no longer leaking. What more can one ask !!!Also note that I went back a week later for an oil change. No, I don't really trust the oil change "specialists" since I've seen enough problems coming from those types. Again, the guys at Auto Pro Care did the change fast and at a reasonable charge.In my book these folks are as good as it comes !!! In addition to doing good work at reasonable prices they have a nice clean waiting area if you choose to wait for the repair.Bill T.Washington, Utah

My salesman was Cross..quite friendly.Picked up the car..took almost two hours to close the deal, only one business agent. Ready to leave only one headlight and no license plate lights. The owner J Wade came out and juggled the headlight.."Don't touch it...Service was closed. Had to stop driving at dark, left headlight pointing to 10 and the right pointing down.Made an appointment with Saab..both light bulbs had to be replaced and aligned, wipers and window tint was Way to Dark. Had the UHP come check it out " Should not have passed Inspection" I had to remove the tint to be legal...never was given a copy of the inspection., I had to get one from Utah.....it was "Pencil whipped" at SW ToyotaFinally UHP today, nothing but excuses...tried to make it be my fault "Bought as is", yes I did but SW Toyota flat out lied about the inspection...I fixed 5 items $$$$$. Any other items were on me and I realize that.Salesman "Cross" would not answer emails, on hold for forever at other extensions..impossible to get anyone to answer their phone.Be careful shopping there and remember J. Wade and Cross if you go there....no stars given here.
