Can I give negative stars?

This hotel, in one word is TERRIBLE. I came for a family gathering and did not pay for the hotel room (my in-laws did), so at least I can live with the fact that I didn't waste any money here. It's horribly overpriced for the out-dated junk that it is.

STAFF: The owner was the only employee I saw here. He would not answer the phone when I called the front desk (twice). I had to go down to ask for an iron because there was not one in the room. He got all snappy & informed me that I needed to bring it back to the front desk immediately. My body lotion went missing after the housekeeper came to the room.

ROOM: The rooms are very, very old and outdated. The carpet was stained (pets are allowed; I assume it was dog urine...). There was mildew on the bathroom ceiling. We had to body slam the door to get it to open/close. The air conditioning did not reach the bathroom/vanity area. The pillows had to have been as old as the hotel. They smelled bad & were so uncomfortable. They were thin & felt like rocks beneath my head. The mattress was similar. I would have been better rested had I slept in the car. The bathroom seemed clean (except the mold on the ceiling), but the shower was clogged & kept backing up around our feet. The refrigerator didn't work, so our food went to waste. The TV kept phasing between color and b&w. The shampoo smells like dirt.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever stay in the St. George Travelodge again! Do your self a favor and RUN, do not walk, away!
