        The Division of Probation & Parole is operated by the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City, Mo. The division investigates and reports about the applications for pardons, commutations of sentence, reprieves and restorations of citizenship. Its command center tracks offenders in the community release and residential centers through electronic monitoring. The Division of Probation & Parole s citizen advisory boards fund various programs, such as financial management courses, alcohol awareness programs and prison tours. Its community corrections section provides assistance and guidance to local jurisdictions in the development and operation of local sentencing initiatives. The division s parole services section is responsible for the assessment of incarcerated offenders and tracking of their progress.
