I have never done any banking at Central Bank, the following is a review of their prepaid gift card services only. There is a $2.95 inactivity fee beginning after 12 months of inactivity. Not typically standard anymore, but Central Bank still charges these fees- so customers must understand the terms of this product and do be aware. Two $25 gift cards I received had been reduced to $0 within 7 months of receiving them, which seemed odd. I called Central Bank to verify when the cards were activated, I was informed that this information does not exist. The customer service representative could only assume that they were activated in December of 2015, as the inactivity fees began appearing on the account in January of 2017. This assumption is the source of my frustration and concern. This seems like a very ambiguous practice, makes me wonder whether or not some sort of fraudulent activity is taking place. I was sold a product for which I paid $50. The product was not delivered to me as was advertised and agreed upon; furthermore there exists no evidence or documentation to substantiate the necessity for these fees.My recommendation: avoid purchasing prepaid gift cards from Central Bank. There are many other firms who offer these products with $0 inactivity fees and that are actually able to identify substantial information such as when the purchase transaction took place. Based on the information provided by the customer service representative I spoke with today, I would think twice before considering other products or services offered by Central Bank.

A bank that is not consistent with it's brand from branch to branch and they literally make banking this day and age nearly impossible. They have not kept up with the times and they give the absolute worst reasoning for everything that never works to make banking convenient with your OWN MONEY. I have been reluctant to leave because I like a few individuals with the company. However, it is over. They are not worth the many, many inconveniences.
This bank is sloppy. I've had numerous times when they were supposed to transfer money and didn't. I have had a post-dated check honored and then hit with an overdraft fee they refused to reimburse. Maybe back in 2010 (when the other review was written) they were great, but they're garbage now.
Every place i went to could not get me a Laon. I spoke with Mark at First State Bank Mortgage And with in 10 min he called me back and had a lender for me. I now live in my new house with around a 4% interest rate and my credit is not the best. But now getting better.
