I am going to describe a transaction that I witnessed on 1-1-2014. I walked into the store, and I saw an older retired couple trying to trade in an early model Glock 27 on a used Smith and Wesson J-frame revolver. The lady that runs Ace (owner?) offered the old couple $170 for the Glock ($200 if they drove home and retrieved the extra mag). The Glock was in basically new condition. The owner also did not offer any discount on the J-frame that was way overpriced. I tried to intervene and offer to buy the Glock at a more realistic price, and was told that "I could come back and purchase it from the store". I did call back and was told that they did not know if they had a Glock 27, but that they had used guns from $449. I think that the lady (owner?) that I talked to on the phone remembered me, and she knew that she had ripped off the couple. I talked to several pawn brokers about this at the Jacksonville Gun Show, and they all said that a fair offer would have been $300-325 for the Glock and at least 20% off on the revolver.I totally understand caveat emptor, but ripping off old people is beyond low! It is immoral and should not be tolerated! I would boycott this store altogether!
