We cannot say enough great things about Lola Bridal Boutique. I called there yesterday morning & talked to Shannon the manager. I told her I had a very close friend that is losing her fight with cancer, at the Cartwright Center. She has 3 wonderful children. She will never get to see them marry or even see her first grandchild. Her girls wanted their mother to experience seeing her daughters in a wedding dress, and to be able talk about their choices in dress styles. Shannon advised me that she couldn’t approve, but she would call and ask Kelly the owner. She called me back within minutes and said they would be happy to help. Everything just started happening . The girls went in and met with Shannon and hour later and yesterday afternoon they surprised their loving mother in wedding dresses, even with veils. Shannon sure took care of them. But more than that Lola’s help made a magical beautiful memory for these very special ladies, Carol, Emma & Lydia Moulton . You will never know how thankful we are. There are not enough words to express our deep gratitude. Thank you for all you have done, for them. God Bless you! Debbie Wesmer
The staff seems friendly enough but also scatter brained at first. they seemed fun and help and not pressuring. until I had my bridesmaids with me the pricing is very high. however I had bought my wedding dress already and needed some alterations. so we got the bridesmaids dresses their too I thought they would do a good job. The alterations were not right I was tugging and pulling on my dress all night. the bustle came out within in a hour and I was charged a ridicoulus amount and had to make 3 trips their for alterations. my bridesmaids dresses weren't any better none of the 3 dressed fit correctly and altereations cost 70 dollars after an already high dress price and an extra 30 some dollars for plus size. I was very disappointed.
My daughter was thrilled with her dress, especially the fit. The staff worked with us as she chose the dress here but lives in North Carolina and that is where the wedding took place.
I never leave reviews-- actually this is the first review that I have ever given, but with the experience that I had with Lola's I owe it to myself to warn others. I will not recommend this shop. At first while I was looking for a wedding dress the staff was wonderful, but that changed after the dress was purchased. When I would go in for fittings they made me feel like I was not important and were always rushing me from the moment I walked in the door, which is the total opposite of what I had always envisioned feeling like as I prepared for my wedding. Also, I was under the impression that my alterations were free if I got them done there and when I picked up my dress they hit me with a $200.00 charge. To top all of that, the worst of it was the seamstress. She was EXTREMELY rude to me and had a terrible attitude, I have never been treated so badly before. At one point in what was supposed to be my final fitting she was lacing up the back of my dress so roughly that she was pinching my skin and I was being jerked around in the fitting room. The seamstress also forgot to put lining pads in my dress (which I had clearly discussed from the very beginning) so she ended up having to take my dress from the final fitting to do that, with a week left until the wedding-- I finally picked up my dress two days before my wedding. She ended up sewing in push up pads which I did not want and never would have asked for in my dress. Now for the rest of my life when I look back at pictures of my wedding, I can tell that the pads are there and I have a lot of cleavage which I did not want in my wedding dress. This was supposed to be such a special, exciting time and I feel like they really took that away from me. I was a customer that had bought my dress from this business, you would think they would understand it is their job to accommodate me and to take into account what an important time this is for a bride and try to make it special for me. So disappointing. Wish I could re-do this whole experience.
I was incredibly hurt by the owners of Lola's Bridal "Boutique". I have given Lola's my service as a bride's maid in three other weddings, and one formal affair. I am a small town girl, and believe in supporting my local businesses. I had bought my wedding dress from a small shop, and before my bridesmaids had a chance to get their dresses, I found out the shop was to close before the end of the year. As rationale would have it, I tried the next "best" thing. A local store right next to my neighborhood, whom I have trusted before. When it came time to purchase all four of my girls' dressss, I had priced them out (at the owners request non-the-less). Upon returning to the store ready to purchase the dresses, I was disregarded, spoken to with distain, told things in opposition of her previous comments, when I was prepared to spend $800 on my girls.I cried after walking out.I wanted to give them my support and business, and came out in tears. Please do not support these ladies. Their heart is not in the right place.
The staff at Lola's is so awesome! They listen to you and are very accommodating. The dresses are so beautiful and great quality with amazing prices! It's a one stop shop for everything bridal.
This is the best kept secret!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better dress shopping experience. Shannon, Kelly, and Debbie (seamstress) were all so wonderful to me. Every time I came in to the store they made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride, greeted me by name, and treated with the most excitement. The entire experience was fun. If you are looking to have the best once in a life time exerience go to Lola's Bridal Boutique. Thanks Ladies! :)
