hanger prosthetics is terrible they ripped me off and would not stand behind a product don't get ripped off by them as I have go anywhere else but hanger prosthetics
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. John (manager) does not care about his medi-care customers, all he wants is to get paid by medi-care. He fails to take care of his disabled customers once he puts the crappiest possible bed in your house (don't forget, after a year, it's yours!). We have been stood-up for scheduled appointments and drivers have shown up without actually making an appointment with us. John thinks it is the customers' job to "take responsibility for the bed," (I am quoting John) even if you are within the year and the bed is not yours yet. They dodge calls they don't want to take (like when you have called numerous times trying to get help or when you report them to medi-care and MEDI-CARE calls them). My mother is probably going to go back to sleeping on a camping cot with air mattress because the quality of both product and service at Lincare is appalling. Someone should shut them down.
One of the worst places to get a prosthetic leg so far. I left hanger in a different city because I was dealing identify theft and and too many mistakes on making prosthetic and I wanted a fresh start and when I went to sacramento I thought it would be better but I got stuck a man name Richard and he made a bulky socket for my leg and added a vacuum system which he didn't know how to use and I had to come back ever week and spend hours there and he couldn't figure it out and on top of that he told me to take it home and figure it out. I took it home and tried it on but not holding vacuum so notice the Allen screws were stripped and he was too lazy to take it apart to see what was wrong so I didn't want to mess with it. The next week I go in and he asked me did I figure out what was wrong with it and I said no so he said come back next week we will have a specialist her because he didn't know how to do his job so I decide to take a day off work and come in and the specialist looks at the leg and takes it to the back shop and doesn't bring it back and Richard was trying to tell me you should go back to the hanger where u came from and I said that I'm not going back I'm planning on going to anchor Or a different company because I had it so his hands start shaking and he's like ok Ill make a new cast and simple valve system and it's not gonna be bulky so I said ok and if it doesn't work I'm leaving. Next time I go in he makes a nice looking socket with leather on the edges of the socket and I tried it on it was a good fit but when I bent my leg it was somthing sharp poking the back of my leg hard so I told him and he said he will be back, a hour later he comes back and it's time to close and I said ok Ill take it but he never fixed the problem. I went 5ooth work that night and I was in pain and I couldn't leave and by the time I got off work in the morning the back of my leg was cut up and bleeding. I called and told them about it and told them about it and they never called back, I looked under the leather and there were sharp points that wasn't filed down and smoothed out on the sides so I know they did it on purpose so I left and showed it to two companies and they said it was done wrong and it was too short on the backside and it wasn't fixable. I wish there were some respectable honest well paid prosthetic physician so I wouldn't feel like I'm being used or feel discriminated against
