Located in Sacramento, Calif., Turning Point Community Programs offers various mental health services since its inception in 1976. It provides psychiatric services, support and advocacy for people working to overcome the effects of mental illness in Sacramento, Stanislaus, Merced, Yolo, Placer and Nevada counties in California. Turning Point Community Programs provides integrated, cost-effective mental health services, employment and housing options for adults, children and their families that promote recovery, independence and self-sufficiency. Its intervention programs have helped more than 600 people off the streets receive treatment. Its programs also help individuals transition from hospitals to the community and aiding those with dual diagnosis of developmental disabilities and addiction issues, as well as aiding families with children at risk for hospitalization and out-of-home placement.
