Last year I visited this office under the dental care of Dr. Matthew Chung, who is no longer at this location. His gentle, caring manner with brief explanations of the tasks being performed were so appreciated. The dental assistant, office staff and hygienist were all courteous.
This year my treatment was less satisfactory as I was less than pleased with the female dentist who seemed to rush through the process. I don't recall that she smiled even once.
---The building is quite old with an outdated outdoor accessible elevator. The interior rooms are quite small which allow the conversations to be less private.

This office is associated with another office in town (Scripps Dental) that I left because of poor service. I didn't know until after I switched that they were associated :(

Both offices coerced me into paying for fillings that were not covered by my insurance. When they were unable to provide the service, I requested a refund. I was told it would take 6 weeks to get $50. Six weeks later I called to find out about the refund and they said they had no record of my request, therefore it would take another 6 weeks. Six weeks later I contacted them again, this time threatening to report them if I did not get an immediate refund. About a month later I had heard nothing back, so I reported them to the BBB. A few days later I got a call that I could pick up a cashier's check ""today.""

I will say the dentists seem pretty good - it's the office staff and support staff with whom I had problems.
