I'd hit this store whenever I come out to Sacramento. The store has changed owners multiple times but the inside has not really changed much. I'm into FW currently I drop in looking for specific things. I don't always find what I want but you have to drop in to see what someone might have traded in.
I've been going here for almost four months now and I have spent over a hundred dollars on products with this business. O street aquarium has lost me as a customer. Joe, the manager there completely threw away my business forever when he sold some fish from underneath me that I had made a down payment on. It would have not been that bad if he did not then completely treat me like a moron trying to convince me otherwise that the fish he had put in its place was mine and that her mate had jumped the tank. If it was not for the fact that I had everything documented and photographed l probably would not have gotten my deposit back. A six inch gold bar maroon does not look anything like a four inch white bar maroon...
He could not give me a straight answer on what happened to my fish. Going on to say I took too long to pick them um. When in writing it stated I was to return for pickup the first week of January. January tenth (Saturday) I was there only to be disappointed by how I was treated.
Do not trust these jackals for anything. Although I can't blame him for his advice on my aquarium, but under his guidance it crashed 3 times.
They lost a lifetime customer
I'm now driving an hour further to get some real knowledge and the respect I deserve as an American consumer. I'm much happier :)
I have done business with this store for over 20 years, and have never been disappointed. Management has changed from time to time; however, customer service and having what I was looking for have always been a plus. No fish store can have everything for everybody, nor can they offer prices for those who don't want to spend any money. Salt water fish, corals and live rock are very expensive, but O Street is the least expensive of all.

I have been looking for an aquarium store to call home for a bit as I am just getting back into the fish world. Many of the stores I have been to had okay fish but relatively non-exsistent customer service. I am so glad I found O Street aquarium! It is a bit small, but the variety of fish was nice and the tanks were clean and obviously well maintained. The fish looked very healthy. The customer service was awesome and the workers/owners were very helpful. I have been in there a couple different times and talked with different staff members and every time they were full of great information and never made me feel rushed. They always took the time to answer any questions and seemed very happy to help. I have bought a shrimp and a couple other salt water fish and they are all doing great. I'm looking forward to my next trip to O Street.

From the outside of this little store you would not think that this place is packed full of quality aquariums, fish and accessories. The aquariums are most exceptional, fish are healthy, and you are bombarded with a tremendous amount of variety. The experience, and dedication to the hobby by the owner is expressed in this shop. This store should not be overlooked as I have been in the hobby for over 20 years and this is the best Tropical Fish Store yet of Sacramento!
