This place was beautiful and romantic. Reminds me of a beautiful place in Monterrey. My wife and I live here in town and we definitely felt like we were out of town. Kyle took care of my last minutes reservation and placed in The Refresh Room. Everything was beautiful and romantic. The settings and the Decor of this Inn was breath taking and thhe pricing was great. Highly recommended and we will be back. A true definition of home away from home. Thank you

My massage was exactly what I needed after a long week of bills, work, and overall drama. The Inn at Parkside offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Michael, my massage therapist, was professional and outstanding. The best deep tissue massage I have ever had. Since my first appointment, I have scheduled other follow-ups and it is easy to get the same massage therapist at a time that fits my schedule. I would highly recommend this spa for massages.

I have lived in Sacramento for over 50 years and was not familiar with The Inn at Parkside until a friend recently told me about it. My wife and I stayed in the Tranquility Room and it was fantastic. The bath was very relaxing and the bed was soooo comfortable. The room was tastefully decorated and had two nice comfortable chairs that we sat in and looked out the window through a beautiful tree that shaded our room. We turned on the ceiling fan and escaped into a feeling of being in a tropical paradise. We were rewarded with a great night's sleep and had an outstanding breakfast. We were the first ones up so we felt special and the food and service was exceptional. This was the nicest B and B that I have been to and I recommend this place to all the over 50 crowd in Sacramento that has not had the pleasure of staying there. This is one of the best kept secrets from us ""mature"" folk here in beautiful Sacramento.

I am pleased to share my little downtown secret -'The Inn at Parkside'. It is quietly nestled across from Southside Park; if a friend had not told me about it I'd have never known it was there. Now let me confess, I love classic architecture!! This refurbished 1930's art-deco mansion turned B&B/dayspa piqued my interest at first sight. Now mind you, the location is convenient, but not ideal. Parking is sometimes a problem during noontime, but once you walk in the door the ambiance is magical. The soft music, the candles, the accomodating staff; it all came together to make my very first massage memorable. And when it came time for an in-town romantic retreat we stayed on the 3rd floor of their new building next door, 'Parkside House'- also memorable. I now send all my best clients to the Inn at Parkside because I know they will be well taken care of, and the kudos will come back to me. This is one secret I'm glad to share!

On my birthday, I decided to treat myself to a badly needed facial. I had heard good things about Bloom Spa, so I made an appointment. I have had many facials in the past, and this was the best ever! Kristin was my esthetician and she was amazing! She made some specific product recommendations for my skin concerns (after I asked for her opinion). The aromatherapy was beautiful as was the massage. I went during the week, so I got the midweek special. This facial felt so luxurious, that I left not only feeling very well taken care of, but also that I had just found one of the best bargains in town.
My boyfriend and I went back a week later for massages. Those were wonderful as well!
This is a great spot. Cute historic building. Quaint and charming.

After working for days on end, I needed some time to indulge myself. After looking at their impeccable website, I decided that Spa Bloom would be right for me. It is located in on a serene street, lined with trees, in a historical building. While it was obvious the place was old, it was still beautifully decorated and very presentable. I was given a male massager, which at first I was uncomfortable with, but soon found Michael was very professional and very good, however a little rough on the salt rub, leaving my skin burning and stinging. Fortunately for me, I also ordered a bath in one of their jacuzzi tubs. It was very comfortable, very relaxing, just a little dirty. With my facial, Cindy was very professional and courteous. I was even convinced to buy some of their products. Afterwards, there was wine and cheese served in the lobby with the other guests. The best part was the intoxicating smell of Lavender following me throughout the experience.

I had a really great time at this little day spa/inn combo. The building is beautiful both inside and out. It is no doubt one of the most charming and relaxing atmospheres I have been in. The staff greeted me at the door and led me to the changing/waiting room. It was lovely with the candles lit, soft music playing and comfortable furniture. The massage tables were beautifully decorated and the massage itself was fantastic. I had only scheduled an hour but the therapist went over a bit and I really appreciated that extra attention. The spa/inn is very well put together and the grounds are lovely. This wonderful day spa hits the mark with its unique setting, great treatments and relaxing environment.

From start to finish, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a spa. The staff was disorganized and rude, the property was dirty, and the massage was subpar at best.
After an awkward greeting, the receptionist left us in the lobby for a while, then took us downstairs to the waiting area. My husband and I had arrived early to use the jacuzzi before our massages. After waiting downstairs for 15 minutes, I went upstairs to see what was going on. The manager seemed confused about whether or not the receptionist had given us our robes, which had been downstairs the whole time. She told us we could change and go out to the jacuzzi.
The ""changing room"" is a miniscule bathroom which smelled like mildew. There are no lockers, either. You are expected to carry your clothes around the spa with you in one of their giant bags. By the way, the robes say ""Cypress Hotel"" on the label. Were these taken from another establishment?
We went outside to use the jacuzzi, which, it turned out, was completely filthy. The receptionist and a caretaker were quickly trying to clean it up when we went out there. There was dirt and leaves floating around in the water and mildew all around the edges. ""CHANGE FILTER"" was blinking on the digital display.
We changed back into our robes, were left downstairs for another 15 minutes until we asked someone about our massage therapists, and were finally told that our massages were in the building next door. We then had to walk down the sidewalk IN OUR ROBES to go to the other building. Completely embarassing.
Needless to say, the massage was not only lackluster, but we could hear the phone ringing, the music from the room next door, and people talking and doing dishes just outside the door. We asked for hot stone massages, but the hot stones were used for maybe 10 minutes during the 60 minute session.
In short, don't go to this spa unless you want to be grossed out, possibly humiliated, and completely disappointed.

My partner and I went in for much needed relaxation. We love massage but haven't been pleased with many of the massage experiences we've had in Sacramento. The staff was friendly, experienced and made us feel welcome The Inn is beautiful and historic and we didn't feel rushed in and out of our treatment. We were even invited to complimentery wine and cheese with the other Inn guests!
Not only that, but our therapists, Brandy and Liza gave us the most incredible massages! They both had an amazing touch and were caring and attentive to our needs. It pays to keep searching. We are so pleased to have found our new alternative the the ""rush you in and out"" typical day Spa. See you soon Spa Bloom!!!!

My boyfriend and I just spent the weekend at the hotel and had a spa package. It was so nice to be in a room with just us and the therapists, and we never felt rushed. This was his first massage and he has a broken collarbone along with some wounds that are healing, and he was worried at first, but he can not wait to go again. His therapist was so helpful and knew where he needed work done the most. I have been to many spas from SF to here and I usually feel like I am in a herd. They herd you down the hall, then to your room and I have even had people who do not speak english, so I can't really tell them where it hurts. It is very unlikely that I will attend any other spa while I reside in Sacramento. I had a facial there a week prior and my skin looks better than it ever has after a facial. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone I know, and I already have.

This spa is a personal best for me and my husband. We did the pure pleasures package. 3 hours of facials, body scrubs, and massages. It was so personal we were the only clients. They are not you typical big box spa they are small. Only three treatment rooms and 7 quest rooms. While we were there it was just us. I've been to big spas where they march you through. There was no rushing here. The appoinment before us was running late and they gave us refreshments on the patio. Our time felt extended. We are definately going back.

My experience at Spa Bloom was absolutely fabulous. I have never felt so pampered and well taken care of. I highly recommend Rachel, she gave me the best facial I have ever received. She was very knowledgable about my skin problems and recommended products that would help my individual needs. It wasn't high pressure, but geniune helpfulness. The Inn has a beautiful ambiance and decor. The combination of being papmered in such an intimate setting is truly a wonderful experience.

I went to this spa with the expectation that the service would match the impecable quality of their web site. Only to be disappointed with the quality of their esthetician and massage therapists. The esthetician only talked about herself and did not seem the least bit concerned with my skin care needs. The massage therapist left me feeling like a tossed salad with all the oil that was used on me. I would not recommend using their services at all. Therapists are at best inexperienced and could care less about client satisfaction. Atmosphere is nice in some areas of the b & b however they should definately dust now and then. Lots of dust bunnies can be seen.

This day spa/bed & breakfast is located in a historic mansion across from a huge park. The esthetician really knew her stuff. What a neat spot with character!! The staff was warm & welcoming, and the rosemary-orange water in the lobby was a nice touch.

With only three treatment rooms and a small staff, these people put the p in pamper. From the greeting at the door to check out they really help you to relax. I am no longer going to my other spa that it noisy, smells like hair products, and really just set in a strip msll. I have been tp spa all ocver the world and this place may not have the granduer, but it does have it right. They spoiled me. I got the Plasir De Sens, a gem stone facial....90 minutes of bliss, then a hot stone massage for another 90 minutes. After I was done the esthetician did a skin analysis and recommended some products. It was sales, but her knowledge of skin was worth the pitch. I bought the Alpha Complex. My skin is smoothing out nicely. Good place for individual treatment.
Have visited over the years as there have been other spas in this space at the Parkside Inn. Beautiful spa, as always but the staff is average. Not too friendly and not too knowledgeable. Just average. The atmosphere raises the expectations to grandness and the people bring you jarringly back to reality.
