A recent visit because of a recall, decided to have my oil changed on my Audi, warranty just ran out a month prior and what should be routine oil change turned into a 6 to 7 hour job at $125 per hour on the engine because a ring on the oil cap ended up in the engine. Never had the oil changed since purchasing the vehicle a year prior. Kinney said could not change the oil because of issue and could not provide us with a loaner. We live over an hour away so was stranded. We called the dealer we purchased from thankfully, they provided us with a rental car, picked up our vehicle and it turned out to be a 5 min. job, was able to fish out with a magnet. A few days later I got the online service record and Kinney had changed the oil. Hum?? They pay their service people commission so watch out if your warrantee is out. Will never go back, we received no compensation for the crazy day trying to get home and four days without my vehicle. Beware!!
We received fantastic service from Shearer Honda. Ed and his crew went above and beyond our expectations. Brought my Accord in for a major recall and they handled it quickly and without question. I highly recommend Shearer Honda in Rutland for sales and service.
HAVE BEEN BUYING CARS/TRUCKS FROM THESE GUYS SINCE THE LATE 80'S,,NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING THAT WAS JUNK/NOT AS ADVERTISED,,OR UNSAFE!!!--THESE GUYS TELL YOU WHAT CAR NEEDS,,HAS,,AND VERY TRUSTWORTHY FAMILY!!!--5 STARS
We bought a truck there about 2 weeks ago. With in 12 hours we had a blinking check engine light and it is turning into a huge issue. Vermont Family Auto stands behind the vehicles they sell and they are making it right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Honest guys who want to do their best for their customers.
Your real story should be told. I had just gotten the car in and was going to scrap it. You and your girlfriend needed a car. I said I knew nothing about it and didnt want to be bothered with it because it was going to be scrapped. You stated you were a mechanic and knew what too look for. I gave you plenty of time to look the entire car over. You started it up etc. I wrote on your bill of sale sold for parts only as I knew nothing about the car other than I was going to scrap it. I sold you the car for less than a 1000. The bill of sale clearly said for parts only. If I get a trade or sell anything under a 1000. I put for parts only. If it makes you feel better to tell stories about the sale then thats your choice. I justed wanted everyone to know how it really played out.
We went to look at a car they had listed & there was a hose unhooked under the hood upon inspection. When my husband hooked it up the "check engine" light came on. Suddenly, the dealer couldn't explain it. They had "sent it out" to be worked on and it must have been "bought from the auction like that" we were told. How would someone overlook a hose like that but everything else was hooked up? My guess is it made the light inside go away! They still wanted top dollar for the car. Never heard back when we asked if the owner would get back to us about it. Also, their parking lot is extremely crowded and hard to maneuver. And, they only take cash, no checks, or any other form of payment. Would not recommend.
Jeremy and Meghan were a huge help in finding me a car. They worked within my budget for what I was looking for. They were VERY HONEST about the entire process. Wholesale is what they are buying a car for half of the price the other dealers wanted and a warranty. How could I not buy from them. I would highly suggest anyone looking for a car to talk with Jeremy or Meghan . They can find you anything . There one of the few dealers in my lifetime I felt I could trust . Thank you for an amazing expirence !!
