Recently, I had to replace my heating and cooling system. Because I called too late in the afternoon for the company to schedule a next-day repair, they brought electric heaters to assure I had heat! I have a spring and fall check-up service contract, and that means a repair person will come out at any hour of any day--including holidays--- to take care of emergency problems. I've had to use this service on a hot July 3rd night when I had guests coming the next day and on another occasion, and thus can vouch for their promptness on such occasions. The contract is minimal cost.
