This is the first time since they changed to the buffet style. The food was good, BUT this was the rudest employees I e every dealt with. We were trying to enjoy a Father's Day meal and they turned the tv up so loud we couldn't hear each other at the table and when I asked to turn it down they were rude and acted like the customers didn't matter. Will not be back!
Being from Texas I have had lots and lots of Mexican F ood and moving here I truly have missed it. Then I tried El Toro and now it is my go to Mexican Food place. The atmosphere is fun, the staff is friendly and the food is absolutely AWESOME!!!!
Great food and atmosphere my only complaint is that there isn't a large selection of vegetarian dishes. I asked for veggie fajitas and I was told that they couldn't do it because the the cooks are very particular about that?!
Went to California St. restaurant. Worst dining experience in years. At first, no service--none. Then indifferent at best from the three waiters/waitresses that occasionally stopped by. Then rancid chips and some salsa--finally got extra right before we left. Beer seemed watery. I swear that glop on my girlfriend's plate was dog food. Finally figured that the fatty white thing under her refried beans was her missing tamale. My chimichanga was obviously micowaved, along with the pico de gallo, lettuce, and sour cream that accompanied it. It was still barely warm. They can't even microwave food and get it hot? Never--never--got the water which was the first thing I ordered. Bad service, bad food, bad experience. They claimed to be busy, but there were at least two tables who were seated after us, given silverware (a problem), served, given a check, paid, and left before we got our "food."
