1st visit the female dentist repaired a chip in my front tooth by shaving it off and making it look like a triangle - WORSE then when I came in and in the wrong color.
2nd visit they gave me dentures which I am unhappy with. When I attempted to use their published Money Back Guarantee they REFUSED TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK!!!!
I would not suggest Aspen Dental to ANYONE. They spend too much on advertising and not enough on customers. We were overcharged by more than $900 when my husband went there. We requested repayment multiple times over 4 months and never got our money back. It was only when we went to the office unannounced and refused to leave and started telling other customers what happened to us that the office manager finally got "corporate" on the phone and processed our refund. They still owe us nearly $60 and still fighting for THAT.
To add insult to injury, the caps my husband had put in FELL OUT THREE TIMES in the first week after they were put in! During a holiday week in the winter, we had to keep going back and back again and again!!! Then when my daughter went there, they told her in her very first appointment that she needed all her fillings replaced (which hadn't been bothering her at all). She went to another dental practice to get a second opinion and guess what? All the fillings were absolutely FINE. Then my son was supposed to go. He made an appointment for a cleaning six months ago for 6 pm (He works 8:30 to 5:30). They confirmed the appointment a few days before via email and text. On the morning of the appointment they called to cancel it!!! He called to reschedule, and they told him, "We can't give you any appointments at 6 pm (even though the practice is open until 7 pm) because our hygienist is only here until 5 pm!!!
Well why did they schedule an appointment for 6 p.m. if they can't do cleanings then??? And then why did it take them six months to realize it??? I would urge anyone who has problems at Aspen Dental to post their reviews on the local office's Facebook page, so EVERYONE in your community can read it!!! Also, call 1-866-273-8606! Plus post on the master Facebook page because their patient satisfaction team supposedly gets involved. I'm waiting for a call back now. We'll see what happens.
You have been warned stay far away from this Aspen Dental. They will do subpar dental work and overcharge you and make up lies to get more money. A simple Google search "aspen dental scam" will show you how bad this company is. Even their ex employees say it's a money grab who can get the most money. If they don't participate they're fired. PS: I bet if you go they will try to sell you a deep cleaning which is a scam in itself.
Had a terrible experience several years ago where a young dentist disagreed with the periodontist answer as a result of listening to the perio I lost crowns after a temporary denture was made. I eventually picked up the courage to visit Aspen Dental in Sun City Center and after consulting with a dentist there i did resume with dental work. There experience was the most professional and caring ever experienced. Treatment was with little discomfort and we'll worth the visit. The dentist was perhaps the same female mentioned negatively by others. Mine was once again very caring and above all professional. I highly recommend this location.
I came into aspen dental as a new patient a couple months ago, and I must say it was one of the best offices I went to. I work in the dental field and the standard of care you receive by Dr. Keen is amazing. She truly cares about your overall health not just doing what's "convenient." The second I walked in both of the ladies at the front desk greeted me and already knew who I was! It made me feel very welcome. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes before my scheduled time as instructed to fill out some paperwork, I finished that with about 10 mins or so and was taken back almost immediately. During my appointment the assistants were very knowledgable and were very quick taking my X-rays. During my exam I saw dr. Keen and Liz the hygienist. Both were very detailed about my treatment, which was only a couple filings and a basic cleaning. After I was done I sat down with the office manager to go over how much everything would cost, i was a little worried about the cost because I don't have dental insurance but I did do the financing and was very nervous about how I could afford it. The office manager really put my mind at ease and we were able to come up with an option that would be best for me. This was one of the most up to date offices I have been and if you want a good standard of care dr. Keen and the sun city office are the way to go!
I have been a patient in Sun city for a couple years and it has gone pretty well. Sometimes you have to wait if you don't have an appointment or if the office is really busy. However, for a doctors office it's not bad. Prices are comparable to any other office and the staff are nice. The only thing that's annoying is listening to other patients whining about not being seen immediately without an appointment or the fact they have to pay. News flash to all you self absorbed jerks, if you don't like the wait get a freaking apt. If you don't like the price shut the f up and go somewhere else.
I had the worst experence at the local Aspen Dental in Sun City Florida. I actually left the building crying. We had just moved to Florida. I am a homeschool mother of 4 and my time s incredibly valuable to me. My husband had attended college with a dentist who worked in Tampa and recommended Aspen Dental bc he worked there. We live in Ruskin- so to save time I made an apt at this location bc it was closer to my home. The dentist was a woman- she did not introduce herself and did not look me in my eye the entire time she explained to me my dental issues. I had a severe abcess that needed treatment and was causing extreme pain. The dentist told me to follow the payment lady back to a room where we discussed scheduling and payment for procedure. I was in so much pain couldn't think straight- but continued to try to set somethng up. The soonest they could do anything was in 3 days. I asked for pain medication. The doctor told me to wait in the waiting room. After 30 minutes- she presented herslf from across the room and explained she was not going to give me anything for the pain- and that If wanted her to prescribe me something that she could just pull my tooth right now- if It was that important I had to have pain medication. I was mordified she was talking to me like that in front of other patients and office personal. I left in tears from embarresment as well as continued pain. I went to the local ER and they gave me pain medication and proper antibiotics. I found a local private dentist that my family of 6 will be going to. After this experience I plan to tell everyone I know to not go Aspen Dental in Sun City. The dentist had a neck brace and seemed to be in pain from an accident- but I don't care she was cruel, rude, and her bedside manor was pathetic. Worst experience in the medical field in 34 years. Pathetic excuse for a dentist. She didn't even know what she was doing. My dentist and my periodontist that I have found since this experience laughed at her and my experience and said she was totally wrong by saying I would even have a chance of having another root canal. I am being well taken care of now and am currently under going the second stages of an implant- but am still a bit traumatized at the way this dentist treated me. I have never been yelled at across the room by a professional about my treatment for the entire office to hear. Pathetic.My husband is no longer going to his friend in Tampa bc of this experience and will be joining me at my private dentist.
