Best Salon I have been to ! Jaz is a color wizard..... every time I go in everyone is very nice , Jaz takes her time with you, goes over what you want done and gives helpful opinions and advice.I highly recommend going there !!! You will walk out smiling every time Athena M.
Selfish, is by far the best place I've ever been. The owner is very professional and understanding to my needs as I was a new client. She welcomes me all the time and her service is phenomenal. She goes through every question or anything i need fixed. Prices are affordable and lashes are long lasting. I started with a set of classics set and they were awesome but then I added volumes no additional cost. Now my eye lashes look bigger and bolder! Never will I go to a different place. To the owner thanks for always taking care of me and my eyelashes!
I booked an app they put me with a wrong person and did nothing to fix the problem and they take my number saying they will call me no one never did .. I didn't like this ever
ANGELA!!!!! legit miracle worker, went in with the absolute worst highlight job ever and left feeling so confident. Young girl with great talent definitely ask for her if you are going for a balayage.
The manager has always cut my hair just as I requested.I used to be able to make an appointment at any time for that day.Now I'm told in order for me to get an appointment, I have to call by 9:00 am in the morning if I wanted to come in that day.I never heard of Salons making appointments like this.
My first visit yesterday was aaaaawsoooome! From the time we walked in to the time we left my sister and I felt welcomed. I went in for a dye (the first dye in my life) and a trim for my damaged ends. Shina was my stylist and just a doll to be around. She educated me and my sister, whom simply accompanied me, on everything she was doing to my hair and the maintenance we could do for ourselves at home to have healthy hair. She listened to me about what I wanted and mixed colors that matched a photo I brought. She has 11 years in this profession and It certainly shows. Shina made me feel comfortable knowing that I was nervous to begin with. She also made delicious herbal tea for me and coffee for my sister =^_^= I'm happy I didn't rely on the stars of this page because a lot of times with ratings it is usually the people who dislike something that rate compared to those of us that do like it, which is sad but true. Shina was a delight to talk to and watch as she worked her magic. I have thick hair, tight corkscrew-type curls, and a tender head, but her combing through it didn't hurt a bit (unlike some other salons). Also, I am a dark brunette yet she didn't have to bleach it for the red & violet colors to show in dim lighting, which is what many people told me I had to do. Annnddd this stylist trimmed only 1 inch off while fixing a mistake I had made 4 months ago when trying to "trim" myself. Ralph, the man in charge, made an appearance and remembered me from a previus short introduction and seemed genuinely happy to see me that he checked in on me a couple of times. Lastly, I must thank Stacy from their Clinton Township location, whom I originally reeaally wanted to style my hair, for reassuring me that Shina is a boss...and she did not disappoint.
Don't waste your money, go to a real salon.
I am completely appalled by the lack of responsiveness to your clients. I came into you salon on Thursday September 4th to see billy where I showed him a picture of the color I wanted. He has done my hair about 3 times and I have enjoyed it until the previous. I came in and he did my consultation and then put color on my hair and let me sit while he booked 3 simultaneous appointments during mine. He showed no attention and neglected to even check on my hair! After 27 minutes he said 10 more and 25 minutes later his "assistant" washed my hair. When he started to dry my hair I told him I thought it was way darker than what I showed him. He said it would fade. I was standing up in a wedding that Saturday. He normally would blow drive my hair in a brush set but he also cut off WAY more than I requested and it was no where resembled what I wanted. I asked him since he didn't do the blow dry to curl it so he did and didn't mention it would cost an extra $30 to curl my hair! I paid the $150 and left the salon in tears! When I got home I told him I couldn't go to the wedding like this and asked him to fix it and he continued to fight with me and gave me ONE time to repair it and it was during the rehearsal. He did not offer anything else and in my option was unprofessional and rude. I have NEVER left a salon so upset. He has told me that he "contacted" someone to call me and I have YET to hear back. I will continue to expose my terrible experience unless I hear from someone to fix this terrible situation. I had to pay an additional $100 to have a stranger fix it just for the wedding and it still is no where near what I wanted. I am appalled by the service I have received for the price I paid - I expect this from a "borics" not a $$$ salon.
I was a new client for Mike at Black the salon today. He is an artist and he has a true gift. He helped me decide what I wanted, explained everything to me as he worked, and the end result was better than I hoped for. I am larger woman and extremely picky about my hair since it is one of my few assets. Mike helped me look and feel truly beautiful. I will be his client for life!
I've been going to Martha for at least 2 maybe 3 years, she's absolutely awesome.. She has a vision from when I walk in the door (basically), but it's always exactly what I was thinking.. Giving her only a loose description. Sometimes I'll show her a picture of someone's hair that I like and she will use it as an "inspiration" ?.?. Maybe she's just a good listener combined with skills.. The atmosphere at Aqua is so friendly and relaxed. I would trust any one of the stylists there to handle my hair. Perfect salon to feel at ease.. Thank you Aqua! I look hot!!
