Went to this urgent care for my son. They overcharged me for my copay and would not refund my money. Stated that it would cost them more to refund since, I paid for it by credit card.
I have seen two Drs at this facility. The first one was Dr. Aretakis who misdiagnosed me. She then referred me to get partner, Dr. Bartley. I didn't mind Dr. Bartley. She was professional and made sure all of my questions were answered. Bedside manner could use some work but she is knowledgeable and did a good job with my surgery. The real problem that I had was that for every appointment I waited at least an hour before I was ever seen by the Dr. I personally don't have the time to waste waiting.
Awful! 3:30 appointment and it's now 4:45pm. Someone before me had to leave the facility and during that time they could have taken me for my appointment. But they didn't, and the office has filled up and cleared out twice since I've been sitting here waiting.
Do not waste your time if it's an emergency! The wait was so long I ended up calling my own doctor and getting an appointment quicker. I was the only person in the wait room and when asked when I would be seen she replied "soon". After waiting 45 minutes. One staff members (Sonya) was so rude and unprofessional, answering personal calls and having arguements in front of patients, when I got on the phone to call my doctor she told me I had to step out of their facility. I responded the only sign that is right in front of me states "upon entering this area" meaning the examination room.
I went to Campbell Urgent Care for a broken ankle, and received the best care. Dr. Faris was fast, thorough, and kind. He set me up with the best possible care, and I healed better than expected.I recommend Campbell Urgent Care for all urgent medical needs.Their hours are great too!
Dr. Faris is the worst. He wouldn't help my 4 year old because he had hard wax5in his ears. Claimed there was nothing he could do. Went to beaumont after hours clinic and got help with the wax and meds for the ear infection. I'll never go here again. The service is horrible and the doctor just didn't care at all.
I'd seen 3 different specialists at Comprehensive Urology - the first was Dr. Hai (Westland) who misdiagnosed me and whom I would NOT recommend. Then I saw Dr. Peters. While extremely experienced and knowledgeable, he gave me a procedure under anesthesia (trigger point injections) but didn't take the extra time to do a cystoscopy while he was already in, leaving many open in regards to my diagnosis and the daily, excruciating pain I was experiencing. Then while Peters was OOT on vacation, I met with Dr Gilleran and was immediately impressed. He was top notch, took more initiative in trying different treatments & had my best interest in mind. He listened to me and treated me as all patients should be treated rather than down upon. He took further steps to figure out what was going on and ultimately found out that I showed NO signs of interstitial cystitis of which I actually was grateful for because he was the only Dr who actually looked outside the box. I was still in tremendous pain as it'd gotten worse and worse over the course of time. And my diagnosis ended up shifting to Endometriosis, but I still would have been perfectly content with Dr Gilleran's care as I truly believed that he gave it his best shot. Then... As I've been unable to work as a result of all of this... I receive a frantic call from my company's HR dept stating that my Dr (Gilleran) gave a statement saying that he never excused me from work - even after giving me a script documenting this previously to my employer, a Return to Work form he'd previously filled out which I didn't end up using as my condition never improved, upon multiple conversations we had in this regard. This act seriously impeded my job. I then reached out to their office and was advised by their claims coordinator (Carmen) that an accurate and revised statement would be sent to the claims company handling my short term dis claim for work to correct this, as well as my medical records. However, they were never sent. 4 business days later, the promised documentation still wasn't received. I called Carmen who then promised to leave a copy of all documentation at their RO location for me to pick up (so I could just handle myself), and guess what? None were shared with me. This could have had such a better ending. But instead, Comprehensive Urology refuses to return my, or my claim company's, calls, a false statement was made seriously impeding my employment and records are being withheld. I am so beyond upset about this entire situation and am STILL waiting for a resolution. Unbelievable :(
The doctors at the center are very good. My complaint is with the system they have for patients calling into the center. There are 31 doctors at the center but only one phone number to call when you want to reach your doctor. Your call goes to an answering center where a different person answers your call each time. A different person answering your call each time is not necessarily a bad thing but the system they have for dealing with this is very flawed. If you really need to get in contact with your doctor, they write a message that is delivered to the doctor. In my case, I was returning my doctor’s call and they were never able to confirm that he got my three messages (the first message was first thing in the morning), other than to say, he should have received them. When I called back after the third time, they said they could not connect me directly to the doctor unless this was an emergency. Well, here is where I really lost out. I had an infection that needed to be treated but unfortunately it was not deemed an emergency. I eventually did hear back from my doctor (later in the day) but then I was tied up for the rest of day. So I did not connect with my doctor until the next day.
We registered online and went in at 8:30pm Monday night only to discover there was a 1.5+ hour wait minimum so we chose I come back another time. We tried again Wednesday morning arriving minutes after they opened at 7am. My husband was seen, diagnosed, and treated for strep throat. That went smoothly enough and we were out by 8:15am. Later in the afternoon, my husband remembered he needed a doctors note and called up to request they send one to his work. They refused to fax it in and said if I came up there with his ID, they would hand me one. Upon arrival, I was told the doctor had to see all of the patients ahead of me before he would write the note. 1.5 hours later the receptionist told me that he wasn't going to write it until the last patient of the night was seen and I could come back then or come back in the morning. Meanwhile, my husband risks losing his job because they can't take 2 minutes to write a simple note. Who knows if it will be ready in the morning or not.
