There seems to be confusion on this review board, and some overly-sensitive folks. Here's the real scoop on this book shop: Very small, but stocked well. He carries some very nice editions along with more common hardcovers (and softcovers). His prices are very fair, if not very good. He always has a few rare, or more "scarce" editions in the glass cases up front, and he's always been very friendly whenever I've been there. I'm a rare/antiquarian collector, and I always enjoy frequenting this shop. I always find at least a half dozen books I want for my collection. One of my top 25 brick-and-mortar shops to go to in the USA, and in my top 3 for Michigan. Well worth a visit!

I placed a rather large order with this company about 4 months ago. Half of it was delivered and the other half I was told was on back order. Weeks go by and I called to find out that my order hadn't been placed yet (some kind of issue with the owner) I was assured that my order would be placed and I would receive the rest of it within 3 to 6 weeks. Again, weeks go by and I call only to be told that my order still had not been placed but would sometime in the future (and again I was told there was an issue with the owner) So almost 4 months later I still haven't received my order and am waiting on a refund of about $150. I did some on-line research and found out that the 'issue with the owner' is that not only is he a credit card thief, but he is going to have to do some jail time because of it. This would explain why the employee who was handling my order was so frustrated when talking to me.http://royaloak.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/michigan-toy-soldier-owner-gets-jail-time-in-director80d0c10203
