Auto Painting Process Step 1: Body Repair - Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job? Our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches. Step 2: Surface Preparation - You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. At Maaco, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come. Step 3: Surface Sealer - Sealer plays that all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint. This ensures consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface. At Maaco we offer 3 grades of sealer. The right choice is all about durability, and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for your particular vehicle. When it comes to the durability of your vehicle's paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done. Step 4: Paint Services - We offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance. Step 5: Protection & Services - A great paint job deserves great protection. We often apply clear coats to our paint jobs to not only protect the paint, but to ensure an accurate gloss match and an overall seamless repair..

NOTHING'S CHANGED - STILL TERRIBLE!

Can you give negative stars?? Their website says a paint job (no bodywork) takes 2-3 days. Try 29! And based on our experience: they'll probably have to repaint your car because they can't get the color right, they'll lie to you about when/if the car has been painted, they'll get over-spray all over places you don't want paint to be, they'll return your car filthy and with quite a bit less gasoline in your tank, the paint job will have runs and bubbles, polishing compound will still be all over the car, they'll damage the inside of your tailgate, AND they'll charge you $2229.85 or more for the privilege. And then when you call Corporate and demand to speak to the owner - Joe Tomberlin of 110 Jenkins Rd, Aledo, TX - no one seems interested in helping you...Unless you're prepared to involve the news media and//or file a lawsuit, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY from these incompetent, unscrupulous, lying buttholes.

Can you give negative stars?? My car has been held hostage for 29 days. A simple color change, no body work, and website says 2-3 days. Seriously?? I've asked to speak with franchise owner, I've repeatedly called Corporate, and now I've just been plain old lied to by the local store. I've paid $2229 and change and have nothing to show for it but BS and grief.

They recently let go of Mike, and I heard thru the grapevine that they were revamping their attitude. I went in to get an estimate and the ladies at the front desk were phenomenal. They were sweet and funny (they even told me they loved my blouse and discussed my hair). I am very pleased to see them taking steps in the right direction to improve the facility. I think they are on the right track!

Go somewhere else for your pai...

Go somewhere else for your paint and body needs.

Here is my review of the Round Rock Maaco:

Mike Bonham, the manager, and Bruce Kelly, the owner, demonstrated very poor customer service values and integrity. They refused to accept any responsibility when their shop put out obviously poor quality work. They blamed everyone and everything else (the paint, the weather, etc.) for paint damage done in their shop before it was clear coated. This was damage that would have certainly been obvious and probably fixable at the time it happened, but the shop decided to just spray clear coat over the damage and (I guess) hope that it would go undetected until after I drove off.

A few days after dropping off the car, Mike called me to let me know the car was ready to be picked up. No mention of any damage, issues, etc. When I arrived, I saw the car and quickly walked around it to look at it before I went inside. I noticed the damage immediately. I went inside. Mike starting pulling the invoice and the set of keys. I said I wanted to look at the vehicle with him first. He acted surprised and inconvenienced. I guess he had not planned to do a walk around before closing out the transaction. I doubt that it is customary to not even suggest a walk around of a finished automobile, and I strongly suspect that it is because he was fully aware of the damage.

Mike and Bruce somewhat reluctantly agreed to take an extra step to improve the appearance of the paint damage, but not much could be done since the damage was covered with clear coat. (Having Bruce, the owner, involved actually made the customer experience worse, not better)

These guys missed many opportunities to provide decent customer service or to at least notify me at any point about the damage. Instead, it seems they tried to just cover it up and hope it would go unnoticed (no chance). When that didn't work, they blamed it on anything and anyone else who came to mind. No discount. No apology, and lots of silly excuses and finger pointing.

I understand that we all make mistakes, and I was overly nice and reasonable throughout every conversation, hoping it would elicit a decent response. Ultimately, I would have gladly settled for a simple apology and for them to ask me what they could do to help make it right (others would have insisted on much, much more). Had they just done that, they would have had a repeat customer and a much higher rating.

Instead, Bruce exhibited pure self-interest and apathy toward what he obviously felt was my problem at that point. He promised to call me about the situation, but I never heard from him. Bruce's attitude seems to have rubbed off on Mike. The problem is with the ownership and management of the Round Rock Maaco. There are other Maaco shops that reportedly are run much better. Give your business to people who care about their customers, their personal integrity, admitting when they make a mistake, and doing quality work. Those things are not priorities for these guys.

Over the phone I was told, by Mike, that it would be $500 to paint our brand-new enclosed white trailer, yellow; but to bring it in so they could take a look at it. When I brought it in I was told it would be $800. I asked to speak with the decision maker/the owner, Bruce, to verify this and to find out why the $300 different. Bruce told me they have a lot of business right now.

I went to another location, Maaco on N Lamar - they charged me $465 to do the job.

Do not, repeating, DO NOT give any cent of your hard earned money to Bruce or Maaco at 620/35, in Round Rock. Go to the one on N Lamar.

From this experience, Bruce has shown himself to NOT be an honest business man. This dealing has shown him to be shady, at best.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! TH...

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! THEY'RE A RIP OFF! They don't even deserve one star! Their manager, Mike, gave us a ball park price of $500 to get our new Magnum trailer painted. When we took it in, Bruce, the owner, told us, -It'll be $800. Business is good now so we're not hurting.- Mike walked in and even said, -Yeah, I told them around $500.- Did that matter? Absolutely not! In other words, Bruce seems to NOT want our business! Our non profit delivers water and food to the homeless, which is what the trailer is to be used for. Obviously THIS MAACO couldn't care less about giving back to the community; the same one that has gotten them to the point of where they're 'not hurting'. We weren't asking for anything 'free' but we did expect honesty and integrity. Needless to say we were dissapointed and will NEVER use the MAACO in Round Rock. We did find another Maaco that saw the trailer and it's being painted for under $500. Shame on you, Bruce! May all you do come back to you!

We cannot give estimates over the phone without seeing what it is that we are quoting. We do however sometimes give a ballpark figure based on the size of the job. In addition, trailer refinishing is mainly done during slower periods of the year. It is unfortunate that some customers do not understand this. I am glad, however, that another Maaco could satisfy your needs.
