Giuseppe's Pasta Alforno

We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. We finally went on a Thursday evening around 7pm. We walked in and waited at the podium to be seated. After about 2 minutes a lady walks right by us to go into the kitchen, looks at us and walks right by without saying a word. Already a little annoyed, we thought maybe it was busy. We looked into the dining room, and there was plenty of seating available. After another couple of minutes, a man comes by the podium, stops for a second, and says not one word. This time we start actually timing how long it may be until we are actually acknowledged. Another 1.5 minutes later, the lady we saw first came out of the kitchen and walked right by us. At this point, we'd had enough and walked out. I have been in customer service for over 18 years, and this was the worst service I have ever experienced. A simple "Hello, we'll be right with you." would have sufficed. I manage a hotel, and if any of my staff ever ignored a customer as these two individuals did, they would no longer have a job! We don't care how good people say the food is, we will never be back. And we will continue to tell our experience to anyone that asks about this place.

This restaurant is on the small size for all the business the do. Every time I've eaten here it is crowded. There's not a lot room to move around...for American styles of dining.

At the same time, it perfectly fits the atmosphere and personality of eating at small Italian restraunt in Florence or Rome. The personality of the staff and the food makes this restaurant very good.

The waiter made a good wine recommendation and the food tasted great. One of entres chosen by my dining friend had too much Manara sauce for American style and way too much sauce for true Italian style. Perhaps one could ask it to be light on the Marara sauce. The Alfredo entres were done well.
