Being that I am young and don’t make much money, this is the perfect place to file my taxes. This is the only place I’ve ever gone since I started filling my taxes, and Toni really does an amazing job. She is so sweet and always remembers me when I come in every year. I highly recommend Toni!!!

I have been going to tax solutions for almost 15 years. There team is great and very knowledgeable. I've had quite a few employment and status changes and each time their staff educated me regarding the tax changes that accompanied my changes. We've been using Toni for the past several years and couldn't be more pleased with her professionalism and expertise! Highly recommend this team!

I am Art Douglas, the owner of Tax Solutions, Ms. Grasser has gone into long rants over a mistake that indeed Toni made & fixed. Had the keypunch error not been made, the fact remains that Ms. Grasser did truly have a tax liability. We did her Amendment and following year's tax Prep. by Liz free of charge.
Upon finding the keypunch error, we consulted with The Internal Revenue Service & Comptroller of MD who both stated we were not even required to provide what we had done at no cost.
Yet Ms. Grasser made repeated attempts to disparage our firm, going as far as The Better Business Bureau. We responded to them and requested arbitration. We won on arbitration and they wondered why if she was so dissatisfied, she continued returning to our office. All other places wanted to charge her more, was her own response.

My ex-husband and I started going to Tax Solutions in 1999. Art, Liz, Dan & Dotty and staff are a great team of Tax Preparers! They are knowledgeable and answer any questions so that you completely understand your taxes. I highly recommend making an appointment for the following year since they are busy.

We have been using Tax Solutions for over 15 years ( since Art was doing them in his home ).The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have always been very thorough and efficient , they always have you look over the taxes before they are signed and submitted . We started off with Art doing our taxes then Dottie had done them for quite some time and now Liz has done them for the last 4 years. Everyone being very competent and friendly . I would and do recommend them to anyone that needs tax assistance.

I recently had my taxes done by Toni at Tax Solutions. I have been going there for 10 years and had an issue 5 years ago that caused me to be audited by the IRS. The tax preparer processed two Dependent Care Spending accounts, when it is against tax regulations to exceed the dependent care spending limit. Since my husband I do not know anything about processing taxes, we did not know there was an error. Six months later we were audited by the IRS. Tax Solutions stated we did owe $1200.00 and they were sorry, but that would be it. When people or businesses make mistakes, I understand that things happen and we felt that we would stay with Tax Solutions since they had apologized.



In 2010, while preparing to have my return done, I noticed that on my 2009 taxes that were done by Toni (she stated she was an ex-CFO and doing taxes temporarily while finding employment after a recent layoff), an error was made on the deductions line. Obviously it was an error because Toni had put an $850,000.00 deduction in my return. I called Tax Solutions immediately, explained the issue and was told that Toni would call me back before my appointment which was in a few days. I never received a call back.



When I showed up for my appointment, Toni was conveniently not there and I was given a tax preparer that had just started with the company. After sharing my issue with the 2009 return, she had me work with Liz who did an amendment. The amendment showed that I had owed $1317.00 in 2009, but because I had received a refund, I also owed for that, so the grand total owed was now $3338.00. Why do I owe this? Because Tax Solutions made yet another mistake!! I asked to speak with Art Douglas, the owner. They told me he would call me, he did not. I called again and left yet another message. Art finally called and left a message stating the following: “We do regret the mistake, but the full amount is owed. Luckily we caught in time so there are no penalties.” Excuse me, I caught the error, Tax Solutions did not. Art refused to pay any portion of the tax and will not call me back.



One of Art’s long time employees, Dotty, even said to me, “well what do you expect for $90.00 to do your taxes? We are not accountants”. I had no idea they were not accounts. I pay them money each year and expect my taxes to be accurate. Is it me, or is that an unreasonable expectation? I did not pay $90.00 for mistakes and I feel that the way in which this company has handled this issue is less than professional, rude and unacceptable. DO NOT USE TAX SOLUTIONS, THEY ARE AN INCOMPETENT BUSINESS.
