Overall

I tried to buy local, but unfortunately the owners of West Harvard Furniture made it not possible. They really lack integrity. Their "sale" prices on mattresses are marked up prices from the regular prices. I discovered this when I compared notes on prices of their Simmons BeautyRest mattresses. West Harvard Furniture had the "sale" price of one set at $699. I went to The Mattress Company and they had a floor model for $499, but told me they could sell me the warehouse one at $599. I went home and searched this mattress set online to find out that retail stores in Eugene were selling it at regular price for $599. So I went back to West Harvard to see if they would truly offer me the mattress set at sale price. They would not. I went back to The Mattress Company to see if they would offer it at a true sale price. The sales associate there advised me that The Mattress Company is actually owned by West Harvard Furniture and the owners would not offer any lower than $599 (the regular price). In the short amount of time that I had left The Mattress Company, they also took the "floor model $499" sign off of the mattress set, which I pointed out to the associate that he had removed the sign. He told me that it wasn't supposed to be there. So now, I just went to Overstock.com and bought a comparable mattress for less than $500 with free delivery. Only fools pay sticker price.
