Melissa made my hair. Initially I wanted to make my existing balayage lighter. I end up with highlights and bluish hair on the end, which supposedely looks like grey, Guy Tang type of coloring. I paid $200 and had to come back next day bc I looked like a clown. I had yellow hair on the top and blue on the ends. Next day Melissa trying to remove bluish color from the ends and make highlights brighter. I ended with this: check photo, one of pic is that I wanted. It's not a balayage and not a highlights, Professional skills are not in question-since they don't exist. She saw her horrible job and pretended it must to be like this. Horrible, unprofessional and absolutely terrible job. If you still want to go there - good luck!
Horrible service!!! Hairdresser was very rough with my hair and had zero customer service skills. When I made my appointment I requested to have my eyebrows waxed, a Malibu, a deep condition, a trim, and for my hair to be blow dried and straightened and told them that I have very long curly hair. When I got there the Malibu was very sub par, I can buy Malibu shampoo and conditioner that is more effective, the deep condition was no different than a regular conditioner and they only put me under the dryer for 7 minutes, she very roughly rinsed out the deep conditioning cream, washed and rinsed my hair. Then when she took me to her chair to do my trim she sprayed a ton of product in my hair then trimmed my hair and told me I would have to sit to the side for 30 minutes to let my hair dry before she would straighten it. I had requested a blow dry and straighten. My hair will not dry on it's own in 30 minutes. I left without my hair styled at all and had to go and immediately wash all of the product out of my hair and style it myself! I will never be back and I do not recommend anyone ever go to Helena's for a service!!!!
I had made an apt with Lorraine to get a cut, oil treatment, style and wax. My apt was originally at 9:30 and she was running late, so I ended up rescheduling, and when I got there I waited 20 mins past my apt time, she said I had a 70's haircut, bc it was cut straight across and she ended up giving me layers, which I told her when I sat down that I didn't want them, and after my brow wax, it normally gets red and goes away within an hour or two, but this time there was a dried up blood spot underneath my eyebrow, and it was red and bumpy for almost 3 days after my apt. This has never happened to me, I will not be going back!
I went to get hair extensions, was told the guy doing my hair was excellent and had years of experience. The extensions were color matched and ordered, more expensive here than other places I had called but since the guy was supposedly an expert I didn't mind paying more for them or the service. The people working at the salon are very rude, never talk to you only each other. Since extensions take long to install it was very uncomfortable to sit for so long with how rude and unwelcoming the staff were. In the middle of installing my extensions, the guy installing them stopped for an appointment with another person, in the middle of my appointment!!! Then after installing them, which he didn't do very well because he didn't cover my full head, the color was wrong, totally mismatched my own color!!! I had 2 different colors and it was very obvious which ones were the extensions!! But it was too late! Extensions are expensive. I will never waste my time or money going here ever again! Do not go to this salon!!!

Wow! If your going to cover up a few grays you might make it out still intacked. I went in requesting three to four low light on top to amplify the blonde instead of using harsh bleach I ask her to put three maybe four dark brown accident lowlight . I even showed her about how think and how far apart I wanted them. She took it upon herself to give me lowlights very close together all over my head using a mix of several different colors turning my hair poop brown. Oops she says I think I put to many oh you mean you wanted it to be light? I was like wtf . she then proceeded to fix it by bleach to try and return my hair to the natural blonde I walked in with and turned it copper green white gray and clear. Did I mention I had no gray prior to. If you care about your hair and don't want to pay almost 200 bucks to have it destroyed I wouldn't go there.

What a great experience. Took my wife and in right away. Personable service great attention to detail. Cut my hair, checked for any changes I might've wanted, then, never happened before, washed and conditioned my hair after the cut. Awesome! No hair on my clothes. Thank you for a great job.

I recently received a $200 gift card for this salon and day spa. Normally I would just go get a massage and a facial, but, I wanted to get some lowlights and highlights foiled into my hair. IT was going to cost about 50% more than the salon I normally go to, but, I had a gift card and it was a "grand salon" after all. I just wanted to look great with minimal damage like my regular salon does it. I realized that someone was wrong right away. There was a bit of a language barrier and the "master stylist" didn't seem to understand what I wanted. In fact I expected a foil and she just painted on the product with with a brush directly to my hair. It didn't take in places and she kept reapplying it to the same spot. It actually burned right off in places. When it was all said and done my hair was BRIGHT yellow. I wanted a sandy color like it was already but, with low lights of a darker color (which btw I never got even after spending the entire $200) . The owner showed up and said it was a very good "bleach out" which wasn't even what I asked for. So she said it needed a toner (which of course was an extra $35. just to get it to the same color I had when I walked in. :( At the end I said how much and she said $175. she left enough on my card so I could leave the remainder to my "stylist" which I did.. I always tip, even though it was obvious that I wasn't happy and they shouldn't have even charged me. It truly was a terrible experience right from the time I entered the salon. She didn't seem to want to do my lowlights and NEVER DID. I will never recommend this place. I really expected more based on my past experiences at other day spas all over the world. Opulence Grand Salon was by FAR the worst day spa I've ever been to.
