Dr. William "Bill" Dismuke is a Georgia native, born in Albany. He lived in Atlanta while his father was in Emory Dental School and later in Hartwell, where his father practiced General Dentistry. He attended Mercer University (SAE fraternity), UGA, and Emory Dental School. After his graduation in 1976, he was a Lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corps at the Parris Island Dental Clinic for two years. He began his Rome practice in 1978 and built his current office in East Rome in 1984. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, the Floyd County Dental Society and NW Georgia District Dental Society. He is actively involved in ARC 2000, a local dental study group and other continuing education classes. He is a member of the Rome Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Dismuke has two children, Lauren and Spencer. Both attended Darlington School. Lauren graduated with honors from UGA with a degree in Public Relations from the Grady School of Journalism. She currently resides in Atlanta and works with the Atlanta Convention & Visitor's Bureau. Spencer graduated from Auburn with a degree in Sociology. He currently lives with his wife, Allison, in Auburn and works for Q-Optics. Dr. William "Will" Edwards was born and raised in Rome, GA. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2011, he attended the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, where he obtained his DMD in 2017. Dr. Edwards is nearing completion of a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in St. Petersburg, FL through the University of Florida. Through this program, Dr. Edwards is receiving additional training in the placement of dental implants, oral surgery, advanced prosthodontics, endodontics, and conscious sedation. Dr. Edwards' achievements in this program have earned him a fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
