I was very displeased with the service here. They picked up my riding mower for oil and filter change and blades were to be sharpened. The price was to be about $150.00 for this service. Two days later they called and said I needed a new spindle and a new belt and the price would now be around $350.00 so after thinking about the worth or the mower I told them to proceed with the work. A day or so later they called to say my mower was ready and would be delivered the next day and the cost was now more than $470.00. The mower was delivered the next day and I had a talk with the delivery man. He agreed that what happened was regrettable but said he had no control over pricing and said he hoped I would understand that theirs was a seasonal business and that they had to, as he put it, "make hay while the sun shines". I paid him and after personally taking care of some of the things they should have fixed, I am now able to cut my grass again. Use this company at your own risk.

These guys ROCK!! I brought my Dixon mower in to these guys and they told me it would need a total overhaul. No surprise there, since it had been about 12 years since I first bought it. Here's what's up: not only were they really nice guys, and not only did they get the job done about 4 days sooner than they promised, but they gave me a $700 estimate. When I called to ask about the total (final) cost that I was about to pay over the phone with a credit card, since I had sent a friend to pick up the mower, I reminded them of the $700 estimate, but they told me, "Oh, no, it didn't cost that much, it only cost $569." Who does that??!!! ONLY SOMEBODY WHO IS ACTUALLY HONEST IN THEIR BUSINESS DEALINGS -- and nobody needs to be told how rare that is these days!! Oh, yeah and they do really good repair work, too.

Nice Folks

For some reason a lot of Small engine repair and mower shops tend to attrack employees who have never heard of custermer service and are downright rude.

On the number of occasions I've neen to Rome Mower Repair they have always been pleasant and quite knowledgable. It's a nice change from some of the other shops in Rome where the employees act as though they are doing you a favor and on a number of occasions you need to check your wallet before leaving them.

Keep up the great customer service, it's a pleasure to do business at Rome lawnmower Repair.
