This place is awesome! They have the best selection, friendly people, and great service! I wouldn't even consider buying my appliances elsewhere.
Moved into a new house the week of Thanksgiving with new kitchen appliances from Murphy's. At our home inspection in mid-October, we realized that not all of our burners worked. The seller contacted Murphy's, and they came to replace a part, but it did fix the issue when we had moved in. We contacted Murphy's the week we moved in, and they sent a repairman the week after Thanksgiving, but he did not have the correct part with him. He said he would be back within a couple of days but we did not hear from him for over a week. We finally had to call him, and he gave us a new date he would be here. He did not show up on the date he had given us so we called again, and he rescheduled. He did not make it again on the new date, so my husband called/texted again. We rescheduled again for the next day and he ended up coming (after we called again) 40 mins late. Got here and didn't have all of the parts needed again. He told us he will have to order the new part and will come within 2 days. It is now Christmas week and we have been dealing with this for a month with no solution yet. Very disappointed with this service.
Whirlpool sent them for a warranty repair on a new washer. They wouldn't come they first day but said they would be there "first thing" the next day. I received a call back the next day at 11:15 saying they would be there by 2:15. Finally arrived at 4:15. Couldn't fix the machine - he had to order parts which would take one or two days. Hearing nothing, I called several times, finally was told the part was on back-order but should be in within a day or so and he would call to let me know. Days passed, no call, more calls from me. Finally got a response that the part should arrive on Tuesday, another promise to call me but no call. I called on Wednesday, yes, the part arrived but not sure when he would be able to come fix the machine, it could be Thursday or maybe more likely Friday. Thursday morning I texted asking if he would be coming that day. No response. Late Thursday - my 14th day of trying to get it fixed- I called Whirlpool and the Whirlpool rep contacted them, only to be lied to, with the tech telling her that he was on his way, would arrive around 5:00, and had told me he would be there Thursday after I insisted he come Thursday even though he told me Friday would be better because he needed to bring his helper. Totally made up - that never happened. I told Whirlpool to have him come Friday with his helper. She related the message then told me he said he would call Thursday evening to give me the time when he would be there. No call. It's Friday morning. I expect I may be calling Whirlpool again.
They came out and said a part had to ordered and would be in at the middle of the next week. When they never called, I called and they said it was on back order and would be another two weeks. Two weeks passed and they didn't call. I called again and was given the third degree about who had been out. I'm thinking isn't there a record of that. They said they would call back but never did. We had to use someone else. The other people fixed it same day for less than half the price I was originally quoted. We've had good experiences with them in the past. This three-week ordeal has cost them a customer.
